Yeah, I know but problem here seems more of back-end related. Someone scoring 114 with 750 rank(85percentile)  in this paper seems really fishy. Didn't observe this huge difference in any other mocks.

People were saying ki paper was easy and UPSC like . But options were quite difficult to guess and eliminate. I hoped for near around 100-110 . But the blunders in static resulted in just 75 . I was in a shock , like this was Mariana Trench of low scores .

But still i was just in shock till then . As soon as i saw percentile, i was ashamed too . I mean37.xx percentile on 75wasn’t expected at all . Like isse behtar toh Vision ke tough waale mocks jaate they .

This pre game and mock game both are quite insane . Aaj kal din mein taare nazar aa rahe .

Looks like ineed to amp up my efforts and focus more on revision..

I gave mock today as per the ideal simulated environment which I had faced in 2020 attempt of UPSC and other exams. My ideal scenario -

1. Less than 4 hours of sleep

2. Exam hall located at the top most floor with sun rays glaring on my face

3.  Invigilators discussing how their neighbor eloped with another caste boy

4. Just like Interstellar movie where every "clock ticking" on miller's planet was extended to 1.25 seconds as to how time flies, I did the same as every 1 second in the exam becomes 1.25 there also.

Damn, It felt so much like UPSC real examination :|

So I tried these in the CSAT paper. and now I know why the real exam is so mentally exhausting.

Used this for the inviligators chirping.

Perfect checklist!:massage:

I guess this is generally used as focus track for people who like to work in coffee house or background indistinguishable noise.

You can't understand what people are saying in this and thus won't mimic invigilator.

I agree. Invigilator chats are so interesting, yet so uninteresting for us. They gossip about anything from politics to films to cricket.

My score of 87  - 50 percentile:(

Really need to revise many many things.

yeah.. the variability of scores in mocks is too much this year. dont be in supershock for long..get back to revision asap..

Hey can anybody tell me how is factly magazine for prelims. I am planning to use it for Science and Tech?

The test was no way near to UPSC standards, as was the case with 1st simulator.

Though I scored good enough in both tests, but it isn't giving me confidence about prelims

Prelims is different ball game, don't loose hope before checking marks on 10th or 11th or may be before Prelims results.

Ah shit. I made the same mistake. Didn't even read the question correctly. Ffs.

It uses the RNA (not DNA). Sars Cov 2 virus mei DNA nahi hai.

ZyCov-D by Zydus Cadilla is a DNA vaccine.

The vaccine contains a DNA plasmid vector that carries the gene encoding the spike protein of SARS-Cov-2

Zydus cadila bana raha na dna vaccine against covid. As Antineutrino too mentioned.

@Shailputri it is a DNA plasmid vector in which gene of spike protein has been ligated or integrated. Vector is basically a carrier of a gene. It’s source can be bacterial or from yeast etc. DNA vectors are used to carry the gene of interest in this case spike protein gene from COVID because DNA is more stable than RNA

Maybe I could be wrong, but I think this is the deal.

COVID is a RNA virus. If you say that Nucleic acid vaccine uses DNA of spike protein of the virus, that would be wrong.

Maybe the question could've been framed better.

😒 , I got 109 and 80 percentile , this is madness . I hope we don't have this kind of performance in upsc or it will become ssc .

Yes. Such qns makes it difficult to bubble one option even after knowing the concepts inside out. :(

Thanks.

Got 124. Science questions I believe I won't get them right how much I read them. Polity, economy , modern histroy are my saviours. I hope my good luck stays with me and I am able to score something around this in real exam as well.

Common sense ,  patience and command over static subjects are the most important thing in exam - analysis after giving mocks after mocks.
