@pnarayan058351 Congratulations to you. Can you please share your strategy for Commerce? It feels like the optional is really out of my hand now. :P

Edit - I meant that my grasp on optional isn't that great.

@Raillife Thanks. I'm really bad at making notes, so didn't make any. For revising, I used sunya ias ca notes for prelims current affairs and mains 365 for mains in the last week + used la excellence's ready reckoners to revise important facts of static portion right before the exam in both prelims and mains..

Madam was famously known on the platform with surname shehrawat, as far as I can remember. She was coming at 7AM to write tests with swollen eyes, and an expecting mother at the time of the exam, and the Interview. How does it feel to be blessed with a baby and a good rank in the sane time ? :D

Very happy for you :)

@Neyawn PK Joshi sir board

Unfortunately I had to go in with 0 hours of sleep and then Joshi sir opened with a barrage of factual questions, some of which I wasn't able to answer. Immediately after stepping out of the room I felt that it was not a satisfactory performance.

AIR 27 here :)

Haha, Many many congrats to you.

Every year there is one candidate who has stuck with us for more than one year. Last year it was Dhruv, ( I think Rank 99 ). He was from the very first batch of MGP and he got an interview call but did not get finally selected.

I used to see him in every class or session I took. He followed all the write ups also. So last to last year , when I saw him I badly wanted him to make it.

And I have seen you almost in every class or session. And whenever I saw your face , it was like - O god, what is he going to think of me - the man writes something on the blog and says nearly the same things in the class and In the next class also the same thing. ( There are certain preparation principles which do not change , and I have to speak them even if it is repeatative )

I remember you sitting in front row in the essay class and then again the ethics class and SFG - so this time before the interview , I was like , hope he makes it so that he doesn’t sit in the same class again :P

I can tell you that I did the whole group thing so that you pick up things well and don’t come back again :P

I also think that the offline group we had , was very successful . Rishi got Rank 1 in forest , you got 27th and Gunjan got 16th rank :)

I felt the same for Dhruv and Deepanshu in previous years.

Now that I am writing this, I realise that The funny thing is that all the three of you have opted For Indian Foreign Service - of course in different year :)

@Neyawn Thank you sir :) (you are greater than a knight for me. Though you may not fight, but you make others capable of fighting the fiercest of battles)

Those principles and strategies... I've not only become a preacher, but also a propagator of those, atleast among my friend circles :p

@nightHAWK Hi, congratulations for your success! Can you share which prelims test series you followed and how much you scored in them? I’m giving the 2020 attempt and blindly doing the insights test series with a score ranging from lates 70s to late 90s.

Rank 295 here (not a great rank though).

Why is everyone saying “not a great rank” ?

I just spoke to Anupama, the PMCH doctor , also a mother and has Rank 90, said the same :(

And this is with people making it to the list the first time :)

Stay chill, leave your job now, and come and see me in Gurgaon ,@capricornape

We”ll do at least a Diet Coke party :)

I told so many people about you that his time has come :P . About you and@Kira0705  Honestly, not because you were my students , but because you were active here and people should know that normal folks with jobs make it to the list.

From the online virtual mock interview group that we had, Ahinsa has gotten selected , Ayushi has I think rank  41 Jeydev has got Rank 5. The Jharkhand guys also, two of them got selected . It has been smooth , isn’t it ?

Just think of the situation 5 days back :P

Are you at work right now ?
