A sea of future toppers want to hear you :)
Candidates who have the experience of clearing or guiding students who have cleared the preliminary examination consistently, what would you recommend - solving + two revisions of 1 test seriesorsolving + one revision of 2 test series?
Second option. I hope you don't mean a full set of 30 odd tests.
IMO 40-50 tests are sufficient for most people (I don't know your history at prelims), no need to do full set of 30-35 tests from two institutes. So my suggestion, 30-35 full set from institute 1 and full length tests of institute 2.
(To add weight to my suggestion, this strategy worked for me in 3/3 prelims, doing same this year too)
Additional tip : avoid revising the MCQs that you got absolutely right with no confusion. Note down question numbers of the questions that went wrong and the ones you were 50-50. These require the most attention

I had to ask one more thing,Is there any way to read the book faster or quick learning something like It takes me at least 30-35 mnts to complete the 1st chapter(Ecology) of shankar env. book,i already read that book 2-3 times(Yes,but I have not touched the book for the last 4-5 months),i do highlight imp part, made notes in the corner (pic attached)etc still it took very much time, also i read every line
If I talk about Laxmikanth, then it takes 3-4 hours to finish its Fundamenta rights/parliament wala chapter.
alsoafter reading 4-5 pages mind starts wandering, thoughts idhar udhar chale jaate hai, kuch aur scohne me time chala jaata hai, hence syllabus not complete on time
@Valar_morghulis Thanks. I was working while preparing. Few things I did - Used commute time for newspaper, lunch time for current affairs, came back home and straight away sat down to study for 3 hours. Used Saturday and Sunday efficiently by going to the library for 9 am to 9 pm. Tried to be anti social.. So no festivals marriages friend gatherings etc. Take leaves to make extended weekends for studies. Also, limited sources helped.
Thank you Ma'am.
@Raillife I believe this is your 1st attempt.Firstly, you should have understood the conceptual parts of any subject very well. Once you understand them you don't need to read them over and over. Example, energy flow diagrams in ecology. It is of no utility to read line by line every time you read it.Secondly, i hope you are solving tests. Solving tests makes you realise what is important for prelims. Your revision gets better without any extra effort.Thirdly about thoughts wandering here and there, you figure it out yourself buddy. One who wants to clear the exam will find solutions by introspection, I'm sure you can do it
Thankyou so much for clearing my doubts
Btw 2020 is not my 1st attempt
Got a rank somewhere at the bottom.
Not all who wander are lost :)
Congratulations! :)
