Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.
This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.
No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

5 SeptemberTargets :Newspaper2optional lecturesMicroeconomics - 2chaptersModern India - 2 chaptersI have a query guys, how to cover CA for the month passed by. I mean I have bought Vision July CA , but I hadn't read newspaper or covered CA in July . Am I supposed to just cram whole July CA ? How do I point out the imp ones ?Also for 2022, CA from at least which month must be completed?
Vision monthlies are themselves very comprehensive and it’s alright if you haven’t read newspaper of that month. The issues on which UPSC generally focuses are those which are all connected or ongoing or have some linkages with the past. So if you have read other months’ magazine you would be having a fair idea of what news item becomes important and for the type of questions like “recently seen in news” in the end one has to cram them only, either from newspaper or from compilation
PS- Not any expert’s advice, views are personal.
How are you guys planning to cover agriculture this year?
I'm doing different aspects of agri from different sources:
Geography Ncerts (Indian Agri related concepts), Environment Book (for some definitions), Vivek Singh's economy book (agri chapters), Insights PT of Agri and Vision PT (Agri Topics which are not there in agri topics of Insights), budget and survey agri related concepts, important schemes in news related to agri.
I'm keeping Vivek sir's book's agri chapters and topics as my base and adding on from other sources selectively according to previous year papers. All these seem too much but it hardly takes any extra time because most of these sources we generally read.

Noted. Thanks 😃
Finish Art & Culture Revision. Gave a mock test. Instead of Ancient & Medeival, I revised Budget & ES. No test analysis done.
Time spent studying - 8.25 Hours
Targets:
- Start Ancient & Medieval Revision (1/2)
- Test Analysis
- SFG Revision (3 tests)
- Mock Test
Disappointing day. Giving a mock is easy, the inertia to analyse it is real. Big backlog now. Was only able to give a mock and do history revision.
Study hours - 5
Targets:
- Ancient & Medieval Revision (2/3)
- Mock Test Analysis - Vision Budget & ES
- SFG Revision (3 Tests) - Try to cover more
Hope tomorrow is better for all of us!
Did the history revision, finished analysing the test. Minimal progress on SFG revision.
Study Hours - 8
Targets:
- Finish Ancient & Medieval Revision
- Test Analysis - Vision Budget & ES
- SFG Revision (3 tests)
- Attempt a Mock Test
Trying to keep the prelims anxiety at bay by not thinking about it at all. Working so far but who knows what unintended consequences it might bring. Indeed, Ignorance is bliss!
Forgot to post yesterday.
Targets:
- Finish Ancient & Medieval (this is taking far too long!)
- Test Analysis - 2 mocks
- Mock Test
Finished history, finally. Instead of one, I gave two mocks yesterday. However, test analysis took a lot of time. Only managed to do 50% of one test. Wasted a study slot and hence couldn't finish all the targets.
Targets:
- Economy (1/4)
- Test Analysis (0.5 + 1)
- Government Schemes
Couldn't study in the first half and the productivity remained low in the second. Did manage to progress across all three but it isn't good enough when the exam is around 30 days away!
Targets:
- Economy (2/4)
- Test Analysis
- Government Schemes
- Mock FLT (If above three get finished!)
Targets -
July CA complete
Combat quiz
Open mock test(s)
Polity
Geography PYQ - last 200/450 questions
Good luck! Happy Sunday and teacher's day to the group folks who inspire me every day to carry on.
2 mock done(one open + combat)
Then the game of distraction begins! Started glimpsing epfo paper and other discussions. Started seeing the gifts given to my parents on the teacher's day.
Read July CA (1/2)
Cant even touch Laxmikanth and geography PYQ(wow)

Not a good day at all! Could have studied more.
@Infinitybeyondinfinity I am not doing anything apart from ncert and eco survey material. For repeating topics that I analysed from PYQ like pulses, oilseeds I am just googling as much as I can along with survey data.
