This is an everything thread for all stuff 2022. You can post your daily goals, end-of-the-day updates, weekly targets or any weird thing you use to measure your progress. You can put into words & post the soul-sucking sadness that is threatening to devour you & your productivity. You can write what made your day & let others experience the happiness too, at least vicariously. This is a thread to pick each other up. This is a thread to keep each other accountable. This is a no-judgement zone.

“This is one more piece of advice I have for you: don't get impatient. Even if things are so tangled up you can't do anything, don't get desperate or blow a fuse and start yanking on one particular thread before it's ready to come undone. You have to realize it's going to be a long process and that you'll work on things slowly, one at a time.”

2020 Prelims : out (cse+ ifos)
2021 Prelims : out (cse + ifos)
In the above attempt I gave my BEST with full throttle preparation .. But failed to clear prelims. Then i was utterly confused regarding future attempts. So in search of what to do after failing prelims.. I found@Neyawn sir video,
Which suggest to plan according to the margin of your marks and cutoff, so decided to slow down the pace of preparation .. Give some time to myself (joined Gym which earlier I found time waste). Reduce my screen TIME.
Joined the test series to maintain the discipline.
Now In 2022 I only opt for Ifos in prelims, I gave prelims to feel the paper from third person view. I was just a skippable attempt for me

Hi Good people of the forum,
Going to appear at mains for the first time, appeared along with job. Now planning to take the plunge for mains on notice period.. Feel have good answer-writing skills and current awareness (test series feedback on the few tests I wrote), but lack content as have done little to no mains-specific preparation..
Does enrolling in a GS specific advanced course at this stage make sense in my case? Any feedback on the ones being run by Vision and others?
Hey all Mains warriors, what is your weapon of choice (i.e.) the pen to be used on D-day? I have been using Pilot V5 blue colour. Considerations being:
1. smoothness,
2. speed,
3. easy on hand,
4. easier for diagrams and flowcharts-doesn't get stuck on paper or face ink discharge problems when making a line in speedy fashion.
5. Pleasing to the eye of the examiner
6. No smudging on page back side
Started prep in Jan-2022.
Put everything into PRE preparation ONLY. Got 80.00 in both vision and vajiram key- GS and 117.XX in CSAT.
Feeling Quite upsetbcoz I had a condition with myself that if I clear PRE this time then only I may expect mains next time. But the scene seems bleak (as I am not good in answer writing; maths optional wala).Need some GYAAN.
Now devoting 11hrs= Current 3.5hrs+ Optional 3.5hrs+ GS 4hrs targeting 2023. Is it good? feasible? any modification needed? (Considering my not-so-fond-of-GS subjects attitude)
Finally cleared Prelims for the first time in my 4th attempt. I was very happy and the scared at the same time what if I take long time to crack the rest of the phases.
Then I calmed myself to focus on the things that I have in my hand i.e these 2 months and a half to study aggressively and try to enjoy the process. Let's all of us give our best and help each other too.
All the best guys! :)
@jassikamboj16303 try uniball air micro and Pental
We had a pen thread too. Would love to see it haha
Cleared prelims after a long journey. Grateful. However, I'm also scared that I might make mistakes and take time to learn just like how it was in prelims. Hoping things go well. Fingers crossed.
To the friends who couldn't clear, things might seem bleak right now and you would probably be angry at yourself. It is okay, we've all been there, it gets better. I would suggest that before you begin again, take a look at your paper and prep over the last year. There would be some gaps that would need to be worked upon and there would also be instances where you'd just have been plain unlucky, identify that and work accordingly. Don't doubt the good things that have brought you close to cutoff but add new elements and improvise where you could do better. Good things come to those who wait. All the very best!
My targets for tomorrow:
