@whatonly  Where is the Indianness when there is no banter, and that too a food :P
Next I m hoping NITI Aayog to bring out Food Index :)
In all seriousness, I am jealous and hope to visit there and relish all these dishes guided by a local.

Hahah. Can't wait for biryani wars. Then we'll see real banter xD

Oohhh its a subject close to heart. I love a good Biriyani, have eaten from many places, except Lucknowi and Kolkata biryani. Still think my mum’s version is the best (this is a very objective analysis trust me, she doesn’t gain any advantages on my scale, thats how serious i take my biryani)

At this point I must confess I am not much of a foodie actually 🙈 but I will follow your footsteps and start with exploring all forms of the biryani - the queen B!

We really shouldn't be talking about food so early in the morning though :(

My parents switched to vegetarianism for one year in 2019, I questioned their life choice. But in  all earnestness, if it isn’t hurting you, there’s no problem being a vegetarian. Blessed are we to be born in the land of tori, parwal and arbi (I actually like all 3. I am aware that I am the perfect child) :)

This is the second time that this thread gave me FOMO with ~100 unread messages, only to realize that the discussion was about food :D

@whatonly I wonder what this dot mean maybe it has a deep purpose :p

It means they do not wish to write a comment, but by leaving -the period- they have essentially set themselves up to get a notification anytime someone comments on that subject too so they can see where the post is going, maybe then later they can add a comment, but right now they just want to watch what people are saying.

OR

It means they’re speechless. They have no words. It’s usually used as a filler to let the other person know that they are still there listening but cannot reply.

For example if my friend texts me “WOAH, Did you know an alligator is not the same thing as a crocodile?”

I would reply:  “.”

Just after reading all the comments related to food on this thread, I opened YT and the very first video recommended to me was this👇🏼. Never did I imagine that forum’s hot topic of debate and my YT’s recommendation will work in tandem. 😂😂

@Arsene you wouldn't be disappointed. Niti already has coffee-table book(s).

And the recent ES thalinomics  has done little in that direction.

'India as the food capital of the world' something in this line.

Oh man. I wish it were something that was as deep as these reasons 😂 what an analysis. Like Carl Sagan's "pale blue dot" we have our own "mysterious black dot".

I just posted something that I quickly realised was inaccurate :p

Hahaha.

My favourite one was “Daaru se bana paneer tikka”.

That’s quite innovative and convenient  lmfao!

Koi agar puche peeene mei kya hai, toh bol do “paneer tikka vaali daaru”.

Koi agar puche chakhney mei kya hai, Toh keh do “daaru vala paneer tikka”!

One stop solution to the daaru-chakhna problem you see 😂😂😂😂😂

I also like all three. I even love the local tori varieties( sarputiya, nenua).

But out of all three, Arbi is the real fav. It is a vegetable whose time, whenever it shall come, will be of absolute supremacy!

I know right! Who arbi-trarily decided that they aren’t great vegetables? 😶
