Looks like even politicians read our thread, saw the discussions about the show "Yes Minister" and promptly came up with a catchy headline.

Way to go !

What is up with this Vision Ias Abhyas?
Solving the paper gave me soo much anxiety.
Didn't even cross 70+ but got rank under 500.
How am I supposed to judge my performance?
Scoring so much better in Forum Test series.

I guess they saw 2020 prelims and they're trying who can give even harder paper.

In last year abhyas, top 1000 average marks were 100-115 range but this year it was 64something. Why did you have to make paper so hard to bring the average down by 40 marks.

Finally gave up on abhyas, last year it was pretty helpful. Felt pretty much aligned to upsc but seems like they've gone mad now

@Chanakya bro they don't provide pdf and anyways it's better if you don't look at that paper it's depressing.

SRK once said that everytime he wants to remember his 'aukaat', he visits the US - so that he can be searched and questioned by airport security.

The same notion holds true for me too - just that in my case, I simply appear for the 'Abhyaas' tests. :')

@AyeRamadhir  To be honest, I think there's a difference between asking tough and irrelevant questions. Coachings have gone too far this year.

Agreed. This is simply another form of gaslighting.

Any test series which is comparatively sane this year? Something more aligned to UPSC pattern, and not random for the sake of toughness. I was planning on solving Vision full length tests earlier but now having second thoughts about that.

Vision full length are good honestly. Not the abhyas but the 10 full length test of the test series.

Does anyone has to deal with fear of missing out with regards to Mains notes? Even after having a few pages fodder for every topic, its like there is no end to the amount of subtopics which could be related to the syllabus. And making notes on each one of them without inflating the amount of notes to hundreds of pages is practically impossible.

@Villanelleohh yes i too feel the same.. what i do to curb this that i see all the questions related to that particular topic in PYQ and then put all the points that answers the questions..

Same here.. I now feel I should be ready with 5 points of each subtopics and general intros and conclusions.. Downloaded GS Score sub topic listing but its cumbersome task and fear of prelims pushing me to focus there.

Thinking to refer same topper notes and just go through if do not get time, like Shreyans Kumat World history..

On other side Abhyas score dwindling in 50s..  I am feeling why I am giving it when I cant even eliminate options.

In both my attempts. Atleast on the FOMO there's no end for me. I only try to console myself by saying nobody else has the magic key either.

I could never understand PT 365, nor could I remember the sheer amount of data it had. That only further triggered my anxiety last year. Ended up doing Forum EPIC and newspaper crisp notes this year. Thankfully things seem to be in control. Some institutes have a tendency to complicate stuff.  Realised the same with Abhyaas. So jis gali jaana nahi uska pata kyu puchna. :p

That sub topic listing is way overboard, man. Better to stay away from that.

Haha, I'm relieved to know that. Thank you :)

Oh yes! Last two attempts, I only had this fear of missing out on anything and everything. Then, ofc realisation dawned upon me ki sab kuch thodi kar lega tu, pagley?! Gave myself some pep talks and moved on. Hence, referred to PYQs in very detail to make my notes on topics. That helped me to streamline things a bit. Plus, calm me down! Even then kuch na kuch reh gaya hoga, but it's fine. So you ain't alone. :)

Due to this FOMO, I had to jump the gun and immediately print all my mains notes (which I made on OneNote). The problem was whenever I would open a topic I would just keep on adding and subtracting content, instead of revising what I had already covered. Now that they are printed section wise. It's much much better. I make additions on to it by hand now.
