Do you think electronic media's overreliance on twitter has made it an amplifier of toxicity

If media depends for its news on a platform that is used by less than 25 million users , isn't it vesting tremendous amount of power in a handful of people who mainly hail from urban and relatively welloff classes and whose interests are quite contrary to the general public.
