@root @Nostradamus anyone with experience in writing exam in Delhi. Can you tell if there would be any problem with cabs on the day of exam. My centre is 22km away and the Google maps shows 1hr journey.
Centre: Sarvodaya bal vidyalaya, tughlakabad extension
I prefer the metro. For Tughlakabad, the nearest metro station is the Govindpuri metro station(Violet line). Your college will be approximately 3 Kms from there. So better take the metro till Govindpuri and then take E rickshaw.

With Ola Uber you should not have a problem. Those days are gone. But a lot will depend on where you live. Is it a hotspot ?

@Neyawn Yeah. ORN
Don’t think there should be a problem. All you may have is surge pricing at worst.
You know this is so surreal to me. Happens every year. So long back we used to have cab sharing threads. The kaali peeli taxi days.
I had a forum user and a very hard working student come to see me blushingly after his selection. He was from the very second offline batch of ForumIAS academy. He was continually saying - Thank you so much multiple times. I was like yeah fine. ( He got under 20 rank.)
Then he says no sir thanks so much because of you I met my life partner.
I was like what ? Was she also in the ForumIAS academy ?
No sir, she wasn’t. But she was in the cab sharing thread. We pooled the same vehicle and we are planning to get married later this year. IAS and IRS.
Anyway, you may not find a soulmate, but by all means you should get a cab :)

@Neyawn Thank you sir. Feeling a bit relieved. You are goldmine of stories btw 🙂
I merely share what happened. The stories are all yours :)

Such a lovely story. Shifting to ORN.

@Falcon yes there will be problem in booking cabs specially from ORN. Believe me and book some cab before hand and in fact atleast 10 days before by spending around Rs 800 for the whole day or you will have to use metro. THe app of OLA or Uber will become almost out of your reach after 7.30 am in the morning. If you leave ORN by 7, there may not be such issues. I have seen last year students(including me) running below metro at karol bagh with fear and extreme uncertainity for OLA, UBER and AUTO for 40 minutes. Fortunately, I was in luck that an uncle who lived in front of my flat helped me reach my centre with his personal car. PLease take care of this issue or go to some other nearby place. OLA/UBER does not work from 7.30am to 8.40am in the morning as the rush is extreme.
This is bad. This was not the situation around 16-17 when the cab service was relatively new. Maybe because many people were not using Ola Uber.
I just checked Red Bus and was wondering is that is the problem can people pool a whole bus instead. It may cost 200-350 rupees for the day. From ORN to Dholpur House / nearby locations.

metro sahi rahega brother.
Assuming you will board metro from Karol Bagh station, it will take you 10 minutes to reach Mandi House then Mandi House se Violet line mei Baith jaana hai jo Raja Nahar Singh jaati ho. From Mandi House, it will take 30-40 minutes approx to reach Govindpuri. Govindpuri par utar ke auto kar Lena, Govindpuri se centre 10-15 minutes mei pohch jaogay bade araaam se.
Jis jagah centre hai na vaha dinn mei traffic rehta hai but subah ke time khaali rehta hai jo Govindpuri se Tughlakabad Vaali road hai so dikkat nahi aayegi.
In total (10+40+15)= ek ghanta 5 minute mei you will reach centre. Metro ka kiraya lagega 50-60₹ and auto vala 50-80₹ lelega. Toh kam paise mei travel ho jayega.
Ola-Uber ke chakkar mei na hee Pado toh sahi hai uss dinn. Private taxi karaogay voh kaafi paise maangega. So I would suggest metro mei Aaana badia atlas hath mei Rakh ke, mapping revise karte huye B)
