@TsarBomba @TheNotorious Thanks guys. I'll try for the cab early if I don't get it I'll just go ahead with the metro plans you guys mentioned.
Let me see what I can do for you. What is your Center again ? UPSC ?

I stay in ORN
For the people living in Delhi, it is anyday better to prefer metro for exam day, keep some spare time too since frequency of metro might be low. Metro also starts the services early on exam day for all the lines (since on Sundays some lines start a bit late).
In my prior experience, more often than not I had to book the cabs atleast three times to get a driver to come to my location. Most of them outrightly ask where you want to go and then cancel the ride, some do not even bother to cancel it and do not move from their places. Not generalising but this has been my experience from early morning cabs and it is really frustrating to face this on exam day.
Metro is highly reliable in that sense. And from metro station you can easily get an auto or e-rikshaw to your exam location. Can explore cab or other means for your return journey.

Cab searching in ORN and around is a bit risky on CSE day. From past 2 years me and my friend have faced non-availability as early as 6-7 in the morning. Auto is a relief for short distance. So, as per my personal experience, would advice you to keep the metro route in hand (best and most convenient way), in case you face any difficulty in the morning (to avoid panicking).
Kisi ka Noida hai centre ?
for those who have centres outside their place of residence, how many days before the exam you are planning to shift to the test centre ?
@Neyawn i heard you mention this in the prelims session. If you can guide.

Would just say that don’t spend only the night before the exam in some new place. People anyway have trouble sleeping the day before prelims exam. It’s better to spend at least 2-3 days in the same place before the exam day. People also stay up to 5 days to 1 week in a place to be get acclimatised.

Did you choose Noida or did Noida choose you ? I have some folks who chose Raipur and now have been given Chandigarh.

@TheNotorious what's the general trend in allowing mobile phone to exam centres in Delhi?

They usually allow you to enter the centre with phone(but not the examination hall). You can keep your phone in your bag and then all the bags will be kept in one common room or auditorium maybe.
This is what happened in 2019 at Dwarka centre.
I will see this time how it works at Faridabad centre. I’m of the belief that it will be like Dwarka centre only as this time too the centre is a govt school.
Hi,
Pre 2021 is my first attempt. I have a few queries regarding my exam centre. Would be grateful if any admin/senior/user can answer these. Will lessen my exam day anxiety to a great extent.
1) My centre is: Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, O-Block, Mangolpuri, Delhi. I live in a colony near Karkardooma metro station. Should I take metro or cab to the centre? If metro, can someone pls tell me the best route i.e which is the nearest station to the centre, to take auto from metro station or not, etc.
2) During the break between the papers, will we be allowed to stay inside the school or do they close the gates and push us out on the street?
3) Can I take a bag with mobile, food item, wallet to the centre as I will be travelling alone? Is there a safe room where we can keep these things?

2) In some centres they close the gates and students are not permitted to stay during the break. Some allow students to stay on the playground or open spaces. In any case, you wont be allowed inside building premises or classrooms.
3) Saferooms are generally not there in centres and bags are kept in an open space. Some centres(esp in Delhi) have the facility of depositing cellphones while others might just ask you to put it in the bag.
