I guess instead of suffixing keywords like Discuss, Elaborate, Comment etc after such verbose and long sentences, UPSC should really ask-

उपर्युक्त पंक्तियों में कवि क्या कहना चाहता है?

@ManchesterUnited@Jayson_Bourne

Started with the question statement
Then gave amending power of the parliament A 368

Wrote these points why Parliament can't do
Written nature of constitution
Judicial Review
Minerva Mills case Sc abolished A 31c second provision
Doctrine of Sc - what you cannot do directly you cannot do indirectly
And wide coverage of existing basic structure doctrine thus finding loopholes is difficult

Is it correct ?

The question asked was- can parliament amend article 368 and increase its own amending powers? Will it be treated as violation of basic structure

Crux of answer is- In kesavananda bharti case, SC said that article 368 outlines merely the procedure of amendment. The real power comes from article 245, 246 and 249. Hence Parliament cannot amend article 368 to give to itself unlimited amending powers, otherwise it's a violation of basic structure.

Upsc did not ask what is basic structure and its pros and cons

@ashutoshkulkarn820Exactly!But question starts with,can amendment power be unlimited

@ManchesterUnited
Those UTs which does not have people’s representation come directly under the control of Central Govt. Some UTs such as Delhi and Pondicherry have federal powers similar to those which other states enjoy but with certain restrictions. Example being article 239AA.

@K_9
Same goes for prelims as well.
But one thing I noticed is that if you have joined any daily answer writing program of any institute then things might differ. I am saying this because I have enrolled in Eden IAS daily answer writing program and they give 4 questions on a daily basis. In this way they cover almost all the current hot topics from where questions can be framed in the main paper.
Reading this year’s question papers I was able to draw many key pointers as I have already answered questions of similar nature in the answer writing program. But I do not have any idea about the mains test series that different institutes provide.

Can try red bull or black coffee and have a toffee during the exam

@Aakash1238114972 I know bro!
Nobody can pass prelims without this basic knowledge
But at the end of the day they are just UTs with legislature,thus relationship isn’t federal in nature in true sense
Not saying its wrong to quote that example but I am not 100pc sure about it
