Mains 2019 Preparation and Discussion Thread
Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.

@Omendon't think employment status and interview marks can be correlated (in my limited knowledge)

Anthro papers were not easy at all. Neither 1 nor 2. Paper 2, I think was the most unconventional so far. DIfficult to find valid material and case studies for most questions. Not at all along any previous year's lines. Generic questions mean that paper is difficult to score in. But, like all other years, I think the scores will be good. My personal view. The optional still is more rewarding than PubAd.

Currently i dont understand how to make notes....i am watching target upsc classes (anthropology) sir is dictating everything according to Syllabus and i am writing that only
Now my concern is how to read book and synchronize with my notes

@vijay_on_missionPaper 1 was great but cannot write one 20 marker completely and 3-5 10 markers in a hurry .
Paper 2 . Questions were such that making choice was very difficult . I think 6-7 irrelevant or just filler content .

@zombielandI liked it. Definitely not as conventional as the pre 2016 era. Good mix of diffulty level of questions. People definitely need to move outside the scope of traditional materials like Braintree. Such papers do a good job of separeting the serious and non serious aspirants. Personally, It was a very satisfying experience to attempt it. The only paper where I am satisfied with my perfomance in my 6 years of tryst with CSE Mains.
@RaillifeI took it because it is more objective than traditional humanities subjects.

Even after mugging so much, I was able to write for 200 marks in paper 1, 30 marks bakar and forced to leave 20 marks blank.
Paper 2, I left only 10 marks blank..
