Mains 2019 Preparation and Discussion Thread
Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.

For instance these people wanted police to stay away from one university when they were pelting stones left right and centre also asked police who gave them authority to enter and now are asking where is the police in some other university!
From where I come from,student politics doesn’t make any sense to me so,right left centre whoever you are shut it and study!

Right wing also spread toxicity....see so called big news channels.
Even many of us (IAS aspirant) fall in logic of these media channels-->One of my friend said that government has majority and hence they have right to enact any law...and everyone must respect law passed by the parliament because Parliament is supreme and by opposing the law these protesters opposing the parliament and doing anti national thing.(same logic is given by mainstream media)
But we know that in India constitution is supreme and not the parliament...
In one of my earlier comments, I've mentioned that right wing spreads toxicity. I am fully aware of channels like Republic TV, Aaj tak, numerous YouTube channels spreading a lot of poison.
This was a response to an earlier comment talking about left wing. According to me, people with extreme opinions are generally misinformed. Hence I've lost interest in political discussions and I feel being apolitical is the best in social media era.

If students are in involved in violence-->police can enter in university.... because it is an extraordinary situation.
If goon are involved in violence-->police can't enter in university ...first we need permission.

@Kira0705Kal ke incidents ke baad I am sure there is no "conspiracy" to disrepute the government but rather, the government is of terrorists. Saw videos of how delhi police just stood by and let goons into JNU giving them a safe passage. Not one BJP minister tweeted anything on JNU. Then the phone number fiasco where BJP asked people to give a missed call on a certain number to show suppport for CAA and then trying to dupe people into calling it through "sex", "free pizza" and what not.
@ManchesterUnitedit's not about winning. It's about "rule of just law".
And I'm not supporter of Lenin /stalin.

I am genuinely surprised as to why inspite of being in college for 4 years,there was no such incidents and what drives these things to happen!
I personally have no idea of what student politics is about!

science stream is not concerned with human elements of society. You dont get to read a lot about the society that you inhabit and the fissures inherent in it in engineering colleges. I also never saw any political activity in my college apart from RSS sakha that was organized by some students.
Also when we passed out , things were different. Politics had not creeped in every aspect of life through social media.

@K_9how are you so sure that the goons are government sponsored? Also, where exactly did you see police not taking any action?
It's just internal student politics and I don't see the point of taking this too seriously. Let's wait for what the enquiry yields.
