@ShubzThe fact that bench didn't rely on ex tempore judgment means that they'll take their time to deliberate more upon the matter for one day. So, it could go either way. Had it been straightforward, the judgment would've been given at the outset. The bench seemed to inclined to the concerns of petitioners. So, the case has dragged so long. But, nothing can be said conclusively. The case was debated exhaustively for 4-5 hours today.

@mannemvasukinandan701!how to attach image file here? I'm unable to do. The cat case proceedings status of the satabdi mazumdar case is mentioned as - Last action "order reserved". There is no next listing date.
However, there's is separate document which mentions 7/1/2020 as the next date of this case and all other cases tied up with this.

@RaufNatoday there will be written submission from the petitioners to the tribunal and by tomorrow the judgement can come. Prima facie it looks like upsc is going to win the case. If this happens then results will be declared very soon after the judgement. But if UPSC loses thn they will appeal to HC which might further delay the results.

@Shubzokay.. I thought if the petitioners will lose than they will be more inclined to move to HC, backing the side which would not appeal the decision

@ManchesterUnitedthe candidature of 8 candidates was cancelled as they did not have their ews certificates and did not clear the gen cutoff. Their case is that certificates were/are not being issued in their state(Telangana i think).

@ShubzOnly 8 people were allowed to give mains ? And , Isnt there any counter petition by aspirants , who could not give mains because they were not petitioners.

@Akkkuif these 8 ppl win thn it will open pandora's box as many more ppl have faced similar ews issues. Looking at the practical aspects it looks like upsc is going to win the case.

@CaesarThat would be UPSC. Their lawyer argued that they want to declare the result as soon as they can.
