@madeyePetitioners to chale gaye! No knowledge about UPSC approaching HC. Will verify and tell. However, Tg sources are claiming that UPSC has approached the HC.

Upsc may not declare result because they may have to face lot of cases especially if courts consider some of the candidates rural back ground which make them difficult to get certificates and also approaching courts . So they may approach HC to get the CAT order canceled.

Okay so if I understand correctly the matter will go further in HC maybe by both parties yani prelims 2020 ka targeted prep start Kar Dena chaiye

Upsc should come forward and explain this to us .
No authentic news about the result and this tg group just killing the brain

Rather UPSC should put a deferment notice and give us speculative time period. Aaj kal aaj kal ka chakkar is draining.

@AzadHindFauzOh no.. Now this will mean we have to track this case again in HC. Like, is it in the tomorrow's cause list , date of hearings, final verdict time.. And who knows next is SC. Oh come on. Really getting on my nerves. We'd rather study Judiciary system for the prelims exam like this than referring to Laxmikanth

@visionmanUPSC would make sure that this doesn't happen. As it would lead to further delay in subsequent process & maybe next year's process too. As it won't be possible to have interview & prelims of next year assigned to same date.

I know this is a rumour but apparently UPSC has sought clarification from CAT on removing ambiguity. Do you happen to know how long that process usually takes?

Touche..But the level of patience that has been questioned this time is beyond anyone's guess. Emotions need to be kept in check even in such moments(Mere advice to myself). Anyhow selected candidates from this exam would be better prepared to manage the impending riots and societal violence in future

Guys all of us who wrote mains this year should gather outside the UPSC building and ask UPSC to tell us what the fuck is going on!? Their reluctance to clarify how they plan to deal with this EWS case is jeopardising the careers and peace of mind of over 12,000 students. For all that we study in GS4 about transparency in governance, this episode is a huge slap in the face.

See UPSC has one strong point ie. it's Notification. Read point 10. UPSC can challenge petitioners on that point.

Many exam results released last year saw EWS cut-off going below OBC and SC. Har nayi cheez ko lekar awareness kam rehta hain..

For eg. in 2016 SSC CGL new post of AAO came. People who had performed badly in their entrance also got it because few people had filled it as preference and appeared for it.

Same is the case with EWS. Many people got their EWS certificate prepared late and now wants to take benefit of this ambiguous CAT Ruling. Kuch aise bhi honge jo OBC/SC honge jinhone EWS se apply kiya hoga.

@Robert_Downy_JrIf something good comes out of this delay, then it would be phase of repentance after result. Remember UPSC is not wasting days and time, it's us. It would be better to focus on what really matters for all of us.
