LIVE Session onStrategic Mistakes and Handling Tricky Questions
LIVE Session for filling up DAF 2 | CSE 2020
Hello All,
So the last time I create a TG for Interview prep we saw some good discussions. However, the group has little archival value, by which I means discussions that happen are not archived on the Internet forever - which is something we need for Civils prep - or at least for the community.
This thread is created by ME circa 2021 to be "The Interview Group"
I am also working on a guide for Interview Preparation - which is kinda here
And a very interesting hobby discussion thread here

@Neyawn Like if they ask me to tell what steps have been taken by govt/RBI to help msme sector during covid. It would help if they allow me to write down steps taken ranked in terms of importance.
I am afraid that might not be the best way. Usually the silence that follows when you write, and you can only hear your pencil against the paper. It’s usually unnerving, if not scary. Those minutes.
When board asks puzzles, they let you have paper. In fact, offer you.
You don’t lose marks for asking paper, though. You look bad if after using the paper, you say something that is the same or lesser than what others are saying.

They don’t ask moves per se. Get a Daf analysis from forum or mocks from3-4 major institutes, you will get an idea.

@Neyawn When is Forum interview prog starting?
Quietly, secretly we are doing it :)
In fact just got off with a bunch of six people , one of them was stuck in RBI office like me till like 9pm. Another was at his shop, and it was time for shop to be closed and he was on the street. Some regular group sessions :)
P.S. I do not provide academy program details here at all. Not one bit. Let us keep it like a community. High entry barriers for outsiders, and strong intra community bonds.

Whatever you say is right as long as it does not smack of your political ideology or biases. What is the official reason Delhi govt has?

@Knightsword Hey I had mentioned watching wildlife docus as a hobby in my Capf AC daf. I was also asked a couple of questions on that which I answered reasonably well. Got my results last month and I cleared. Can share my transcript with you if you'd like to go through.Let me know if you'd want to prepare some questions on this with me.
Why dont you share here with all of us? Remove the private details :)
We all can learn from you!

I think we can use the principled distance model of secularism to handle this question. A key facet of governance is satisfaction of the citizens. The government here intends to cater to the faith of its citizens. It does not associate itself with any specific religion while doing so.
The scheme assists the economically weaker senior citizens who are the residents of Delhi to visit a choice of their pilgrimage. It is a one-time facility only. The routes chosen under the scheme cover Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist sites as of now. Moreover, it does not lay down any specific religion-based criteria to undertake journey in any route.

We in MP have Mukhyamantri teerath darshan Yojana.
@Neyawn Are we allowed add a work experience, and change designation of working parents in daf 2? Or edit work related details given in daf 1?

That’s what the govt says. Perfectly valid.

Adding to what@AzadHindFauz said, maybe you could mention:
1. Fundamental Rights do not function in silos but should be read as a whole.
2. One’s religion is a part of one’s identity and the Indian Constitution recognises that.
3. Article 21 guarantees the right to personal Liberty and Article 19 guarantees the right to freedom of expression. These rights are of extremely wide ambit and according to the SC’s interpretation, it allows for an escape from mere animal existence, and supports fulfilment of an individual’s purpose and potential in life. The Welfare State not only has the duty not to impinge upon these rights, but the active obligation to ensure maximum fulfilment of these rights in a meaningful manner.
4. Therefore, if the State starts free travel to Ayodhya (especially for elderly), the same is justified unless it violates the equality clause in the Constitution.
5. The Equality clause does not mean blanket equality but unequal treatment for unequal people on a need-basis.
6. Just because one section of the population is allowed a subsidy, another section from a different religion is not automatically entitled to a similar subsidy for their religious purposes. However, they stand on the same footing as regards whether they should be considered for a subsidy. That is the meaning of due process.
7. In this case, subsidy has been offered to the elderly and that too, EWS. The same is not in violation of secularism in any sense of the word. Rather, it enables individual attainment under Article 21.
8. Maybe you could also mention about subsidies given for religious travel for other religions as well. Eg:Haj Subsidy.
