How was the paper guys ?
Hello Guys
I am 25; Graduated in 2017 from DU in BSC. Have been a forum member since 2019 (After my 2nd prelims).
My journey in UPSC CSE has officially come to a close.
This was was my 4th prelims. Unable to get through this door and unable to write mains even once ; have decided to pursue other things in life wherever it takes me.
Got into CSE prep largely for IFS/IRS - Dono mein se kuch bhi miljaye sort of.
Just want to thank all the lovely people for their support and wish you all for your future endeavors.
Maybe fir kabhi milenge yahin par.
Take care
Goodbye
This time people are saying people was difficult but those scoring really good are silent like every year. Usually when we score less we shout more.
I hope these are not ORN group..because every year after prelims no one say their score is less than 120 and vanish after results
Yes and there is also one other group of people scoring high in GS but failing CSAT :P. Few are genuine but who ?
Jai Shree Ram !
@prachimalik1121311 kindly search the meaning of the term "committed judiciary".
This time I feel more clueless. Seems like enthusiasm and fervour displayed by serious and relatively less serious aspirants has gone down substantially because lot of discussion used to happen here. Somehow coaching answer keys par trust nai hota. Last year I was scoring csat 61 but cleared prelims.
Question like gdr, nre (non resident external) account/ deposit which are by nature fully Repatriable should make answer 2 and 4. But coaching says 123.
Copper smelting mein 1st mein "may" use kiya hain. Chances are even one possible case makes it right. Such statement have a history of being right. But again coaching says its wrong.
Discussions would help.
Written 3 mains. Including last year.
Update:
the current scenario of keys
Insights: 105.9
Iasbaba: 108.5
Shankar ias: 106
Topper’s 2020 key: 113
Forumias: 107.9
Drishti ias: 108.5
Iasexamcongress (TG group): 116
I guess no point in wasting time on other keys now…if it were 2019 I would have straight away jumped into mains prep but because of last year’s answer key fiasco I’m not pushing my hopes high till result is out(The agony of not finding your roll number in pdf is excruciating). But anyway gonna start with optional now, with some optimism and belief in Murphy’s law.
I have almost the same scores, and feel the same way. Too fucking scared. But yeah anyway, going to start with mains prep. Always praying to the old gods and the new, naiyya paar kara do.
@babu_bisleri regarding sutlej river question....i think upsc wanted us to arrive at the answer by specifically asking three rives which pour into one....which can only be the case with chenab in which ravi jhelum and sutlej pour in....but if take sutlej....then only chenab pouring into it becomes the case as other rivers have already poured into chenab....so technically three rivers are not pouring into sutlej ......i have also marked sutlej but i think that would be wrong....
In Sutlej Beas, Spiti and Chenab pours in.
Chenab has many tributary and not just 3
Jai Shree Ram !
@Fulcrum @babu_bisleri Also indus water treaty mentions that panjnad ( chenab and sutlej joins to form panjnad) to be a part of chenab.. it means chenab meets indus directly according to this..
