Post 2021 prelims different scenario from past years:

1. Aspirants not interested to disclose their marks.

2. Not interested to join any test series until results are declared.

3. Not interested to check different keys.

4. Not interested to discuss what is right or wrong.

5. Inflating marks by considering at least 60-70% disputed questions as right.

6. Institutes not interested to launch any test series until results.

7. Not enthusiastic to write answers until we clear prelims.

A different scenario and environment this year 😐

Even before prelims, It appeared to me that not many institutes were intereted in framing good open mocks this time, they were just like, you clear prelims, we will discuss about mains. I didnot see Forum IAS simulator X as well this time@kohliwag

But vajiram has already announced their mains test series, crash course, essay programs. And they do not refund the money in case aspirants want.I guess not many join their programs!

true .I am just confused, why then everyone feels cutoff wont plunge lower than 90.I feel it would be 85 (upsc key)as almost 6 to 7 qstns would differ from bs keys.

its quite unbelievable.is it cause of factual paper? How many marks  ur friends get compared to last year?.I am attempting again after 3 years gap ,had deluded myself thinking paper would be conceptual like last year, based my prep cmplty on pyqs, got doomed by lack of revision.i m almost in the same range as u.anxious as hell .

@bhuvanamalar1015412 all my friends who prepared for ifos last year hangs in 90s. Actually last 3,4 years upsc papers can be answered with basic knowledge, elimination techniques and options were easy to eliminate. This year was quite opposite 😕

you would surely get through if u get 85 with upsc keys, atleast thats what i believe as though i have not attempted last few years , i did went through them multiple times, i felt this year paper was much tough than last 3 years. There is nil scope for guess work. Its designed meticulously to curb it.both amazed and cried at the traps they set.

As regarding the question about " State", i still have doubt whether all states need to be Sovereign? As there are some Non sovereign states also if we search.

@bhuvanamalar1015412 do not be disheartened bro...i feel you..just that this year's paper was not tough or anything but UNFAIR...multiple options can be justified in many questions...UPSC will choose almost randomly one option as if it is not checking knowledge or hardwork, it is asking "batao hum paper setters ne kya socha" !!

Even failure is much better than fear of unknown.

@bhuvanamalar1015412 I have been in this upsc process since 5 years. Lot of failures and some happiness, so much stress, and many more. So failure or success doesn’t matter anymore. Life will go on. I am taking a break from upsc now and trying to get some job. Will try upsc after this break again.

you r spot on,I strongly believe its b but none would accept it as coaching keys claim its a..Just wait for the result.it does not matter after that.

I too marked B option. This year's paper is very very tough.
