How was the paper guys ?
In this question 1st and 2nd statements aren't contradictory? First says passing on mitochondrial disease from parent(could be either mother or father) can be prevented.
2nd says mitochondrial disease entirely from mother.
Not asking from any argumentative perspective. Just want to understand it !
Both the options are correct.
I asked it in context of this article:

I think the article itself has a disclaimer. And even if it was the case, it will only be taken up as an exception.
Koi engineer bata do pressure cooker ka answer. Does area of hole in lid affect temp inside?
Atmospheric pressure influences the boiling point of water. When atmospheric pressure increases, the boiling point of water becomes higher that is it becomes nearly 120 deg Celsius from 100 deg Celsius.
So ↑ flame temp means more steam formation which means pressure ↑ inside cooker which ↑ Boiling point of water result in faster cooking of food so 2nd statement correct.
Area of hole in lid does not play any direct role at all , it is ACTUALLY opening and closing of hole which helps in maintain the desired pressure by removing excess steam generated in pressure cooker, which is done by pressure regulator which we call Sitti/whistle. There is another hole in lid which is just a safety valve.
Are coaching CSAT Keys reliable? Have attempted very less and unsure about the Comprehension bit. Staying positive and preparing for Mains seems too big a task. They r bs,more so when it comes to CSAT.just wait for the result
there used to be a guy called@Aurang_mirasudar last year who compiled all RC comprehensions accurately (saying this based on the word-to-word articles he compiled it from). Apparently, they were taken from Indian express and other newspaper articles. So if anyone wants to get closure reg RC then start searching the internet with the phrases.
PS: On a lighter note, this exercise must be done while sitting as your balls of steel might make you even more tired.
Best wishes to everyone here.

If i remember correctly this is a CA material of two years back, there's this theory of all mitocho information being passed down and has no changes to it as it comes solely from mothers side. father gives only sperm while mothers have the egg that contain nutrients and stuff. this also has mitochondria. So option c both, dont go the tickmaster way here or complicate it to level two, stay on level 1 here.
Edit: saw the article: common working: "paternal mtDNA is eliminated immediately following fertilization. "
anomaly: due to mutation, guy responsible to eliminate father wala contribution is not working.
