Overall GS paper 1 was very easy. Maximum questions can be answered only by your basic understanding of polity science history economy only these portions have capacity to pass the preliminary. Current affairs mainly is for mains and interview perspective. Some questions from current affairs may be left as we have not to get 200 numbers, however current affairs plays a good role in understanding the basics mor correctly.. Yes if anyone lacks in basic understanding of subjects then it is really difficult to clear the pre.exam. I am also not clearing as I know I directly appeared in the exam however I am getting 80 around confirm numbers due to some basic concepts. I hope the merit definitely will come down as all of you are sharing experiences. Best of luck for getting more correct answer in discussion.
@D503 ya you are right I am not going to clear exam I know but it is very clear from the recent papers if anyone does not understand basics then how he or she can clear this exam. Yes it will take 2 or 3 years for mastering basics. Here discussion shows that we have did mistakes due to lack of clarity in understanding the options. As pressure cooker normal, mitochondria easy from bio point, virus synthetic definitely already discussed on the forums platform , polity very basic etc . So you are right very right. But I will suggest to clear all the basics understanding. Only then we may clear pre exam. Otherwise to read ncert or to learn facts only important from its will not be useful to anyone. I didn't see even a news paper. That is the reason for getting only around 80 numbers. Hope all of us understand this.
@Shailputri exactly this type of lacking of basics plays role in not clearing the pre. Hope you understand this.
@Shailputri you are clearing exam only 2 or 4 questions can't stop you . I am referring to basics that we should really understand what's is the question demanding and what the options are meant. There should not be any space for humane mistake in this pre exam.

I recently unscribed all the videos on youtube related to civil services. From today only forum ias platform may be my colleague in future. I am enjoying my life with a great satisfaction , permanently employed and also side business of high return and a respectable name in my society as well as in relationships. I will serve society in a much intensive way as well as fully focus of my better half and our lovely kids. Forum ias platform remained my lovely friend during last few years. I already have many jewels in my career so no more need now . I also work there where we are specialized all over India. So better to listen. I also wishes all of you for a better life ahead alongwith civil services or any other life tasks. Who becomes civil servant I normally personally watch them when they come to my place. I talked personally many times. And finally got that the satisfaction is the other thing than civil services only. Yes of course civil services is a normal way to establish one in the society and to serve society if really serve in a better way than normal public. My best wishes to all of you again to shine in this world by your kind acts only. Keep patience and beleive in almighty God, definitely all will get success in life. @Shinchen_1 you're right because UPSC is based on hard work along with some luck, so this pre exam is not a scale of testing your talent it is like real life situations as in real life every time is not correct or right, sometimes it becomes out of control. So luck plays a role. However I am firmly believe that it is very very easy exam as we have not to get complete 100 questions right. If we seriously study then there is no chance to fail. As one of my friend also from Btech background is confident in gs paper but he is afraid of CSAT . I surprised how a BTech can afraid of CSAT. It means he seriously didn't take up CSAT exam. My bro alternate job or profession is mandatory due to uncertainty these days. My advice is you should took state exams seriously then you may opt UPSC. In india you also know that if yor are talented but fail in getting any profession, you will not be asked even by your close relatives. So one permanent job or profession is mandatory. However I again emphasises that if I or you really work hard with smartness then UPSC is very easy considering the qualifying percentage is very very low. I took many examinations and got success also but I am in government job since the age of 19 and enjoying each and every aspect of life. Whether happiness or sorrow. So take decision considering your future. It is also well known the working professional also clear the civil services exam with top ranks. My best wishes to your journey ahead.
I can bet that UPSC only frame questions not answers. Answers are taken from this platform by UPSC as all of us are providing every detail of each answer. UPSC wale definitely will take these answers in its official key. Please keep surgering all the questions till final conclusion before d day. 😂😂😂😂
