Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.
@neyawn sir and others, what is your take?
This is the official Thread for discussion of Prelims Postponement, Please do not create new threads for the same.
I just wanna put it out there ..I like this forum amongst telegram groups that is so much of Chaos and lots of negativty..etc... this forum is mellow , people are polished in putting points out (atleast most of the time) , many good discussions , good guidance .... etc .
Have a good day folks.. peace ✌️😎
though i am not pandit or insider, i feel that it will get postponed.@sulawesi Any chance of getting it postpon
A reminder that there are lakhs of students who DON'T want any postponement. And they have families too who could get infected. But not everyone has the resources to sit at home for another year especially with the unemployment situation. The administration will have to consider views of all the sections. It's best to keep preparing with 4th October as the D-day.
Hoping that the govt and UPSC keeps best interests of everyone in mind and takes the call accordingly.
That being said, without a vaccine conducting any exam will be marred with one issue or the other and several such questions. (The below applies only to govt recruitment exams). The only way to answer them all is either the vaccine or putting everything on hold till one is found.
But if the govt waits till March/April 2021 (an optimistic date) for everyone to get their dosage and then start conducting exams. Most of the Janta from the ones who are asking for postponement right now will get restless and start criticizing the govt for keeping them jobless. Esp the political parties who are at the moment backing students will then play politics over failure to conduct exams. So basically, damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.
So at the end of the day it's all about good politics and optics of it.
I would suggest that we all stop speculating and get back to studies as the exam for sure is taking place on 4th oct. for the recruitment agencies are quite bent on sticking with their revised calendars, until unless something very drastic happens. For all we are left with is 45days, you can spend these speculating exam postponements or you can spend these preparing for it. Call is yours.
(Based on a conversation w/ a very highly placed and experienced govt officer)
More than giving Jobs, Politics is also about saving lives.
Thousands and thousands of people migrated back to respective villages, to save their lives.
Thousands and thousands of Frontline workers are risking their lives, to save others lives.
Soldiers are guiding our frontiers, to save our lives.
That's why Mr. Modi said Jaan h toh Jahan h.
Rest, I also agree with you, stop speculations and utilize each and every moment to equip ourselves to become abetter citizen, and better human.
I don't think it will get postponed....if rain drops are falling into the room we will try to stop, if whole rain is falling then what we will do other than abandoning it (What govt is doing).....also Postponing also will send a wrong signal...So be prepared....at max they will remove CSAT (Intimated along with admit cards) and go ahead with examination.....merging 2020 and 2021 is not possible because govt has no capacity to train such number of new entrants in one year
thats a good idea... remove csat this year . 2 hrs gap and then 2hrs of another paper ll increase risk.. CSAT has no value . it hardly effect cutoff . 33% pass paper nothing but a joke which has been played upon us for few yrs ny way ..
