Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.
@neyawn sir and others, what is your take?
This is the official Thread for discussion of Prelims Postponement, Please do not create new threads for the same.
OK. Someone on Twitter is raising issue of discrimination during interview with Reserved category candidates.
According to them, all UPSC Memebers are from Upper Caste. Not a single Category Member. So, they think it's not equitable representation, affecting selection process.
They are demanding release of last 10 years of marks of Mains and interview of all candidates whether reserved or not on public platform. It is to scrutinize their accusation about discrimination of reserved category candidates in interview.
So (assumption), maybe UPSC is waiting to let die this uproar of Information Demanding on social media. Once everything is calm then maybe, they will release the result.
Bro, upsc can't be held hostage by any such tom dick and Harry. So this explanation doesn't sounds valid. God knows what upsc is upto
How can there be any computational error at this stage? They must have made mark entry into system, they must have compiled everyones score and after proper sorting only they might have published result na! They know who all are toppers, they also know what is the score of last recommended candidate and they the fkuc they aren't uploading marksheet
Another way is to paste the link in "archive.li" . It bypasses the paywall. Works for almost every website.
Any way to bypass Business Standard paywall?
One reason i can think of UPSC delaying publishing results after Sept 7th is that, NDA exam is on 6th. Possibly UPSC might be having its own iota of doubt about how successfully it can conduct NDA and its outcomes on prelims. :)
I don't think publishing of marks is dependent on the successful conduction of any exams.
@RonWeasley True they need not be dependent on any exam, UPSC should disclose the marks ideally the moment results are out(prelims, mains accordngly)...but having known how tormenting UPSC's attitude is towards students I came up with that 'possible reasoning behind UPSC decision'.
On a sidenote, I wonder how would any MLA or MP candidate in this country would respond if ECI says, 'XYZ won the election, all others lost but vote count and vote margin would not be disclosed until next election'!!

RSS in past had suggested to remove interview and introduce psychological evaluation like they do in army . When ever there is interview there ll be bias of left and right .. religion .. cast .. everyone has their bias does nt matter how big officer he is . In these age of twitter its quiet evident how biased many top level people can be .
