Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.
@neyawn sir and others, what is your take?
This is the official Thread for discussion of Prelims Postponement, Please do not create new threads for the same.

@Osho well more than half of the people in this forum after giving their exam were of the opinion that prelims is now largely based on guess work. Hence the argument.
Educated guess or plain guess, it's still a guess, you can eliminate two options and then mark it as per your gut feeling. Surely not a way to select people! How prelims has turned into a gamble for the past few years than a wayto select serious aspirants for mains! Holier than thou UPSC won't be blamed, but the aspirants' preparation mistakes!!
*Don't take the exam and the ones selected as some ultra elite people* maybe many of those selected don't even know or can write better essays or comprehend things better than you! This exam is just a game/gamble, play it with the same effort you used to play sports as a child, but if you lose, move on! At the end, your life can always be happier than being dictated by ministers and losing your ethics and spine in the process. The world has many facets to look at!
Hi guys, I need some suggestions. I did btech in ece(2019) from jiit. Took a drop and prepared for CSE for 1year and still could not clear prelims. Though there are no financial constraints, but the uncertainty of this exam is haunting me so much that i am literally confused what to do now. whether to take up a job (most probably in the IT sector) and then prepare for this exam or I take a drop again and prepare? Then of course the gap would become 2 years and don't know whether IT sector gives job to those with 2yr gap.
i'll advice go for a job ; try other fronts, like other state exams!! Understand the procedure and process of UPSC well.
Don't want to sound negative but yes it required utmost dedication from your side!!
The people who had or will clear this exam in their early attempts have somehow this dedication- be a smart worker or hard worker, be crazy about something, which we lack & we don'trealize , we try to imitate them and landed with failure.
what may work for them may not work for you!! you have to analyzeyourself first.
Yes I know this is very big exam; if you clear this exam you'll go big, but other perspective of life also requires sometimes.
Every experience in this life counts and help you .
all the best!!
