CSE 2021: Plan / Strategy / Daily Routine

Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.

This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.

No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Couldn't finish env today, just a small portion left. Will finish that in the end. Epfo portion would be covered by the time I retire to bed.

Me to myself -GG boi

28/06

  • Finish mapping
  • Finish Geo
  • 40mins epfo

The second dose of vaccine is scheduled for tomorrow, all my targets now depends on AstraZeneca. Hopefully won't have to take another 3 days of bedrest. Ugggh

All targets are carried forward to tomorrow. Just able to complete few chapters of geography before the headache kicked in.

Couldn't do much due to vaccination, despite the side effects were none compared to the first dose.

29/06

  • Finish mapping
  • Finish Geo
  • 40mins epfo

Still had weakness all day long due to covishield, slept for 3 hours at noon like a baby. Felt better by the evening but I went out for shopping something.

2 days and practically read nothing. I've got an excuse of vaccination but I guess personal excuses aren't a reason to not cover up the things. Have to clock 12hours from tomorrow, all due to external influences like@nerdfighter  and few other things.

30/07

  • Geo

                =>Complete ncerts

                =>Maps (Rivers, mountains, world)

  • PRS annual report - 1/4th
  • 40mins epfo

Today was one of those days where almost from the morning session, you know you are just trying to do things for the sake of it. Was distracted a lot, productivity was less in the first half and I didn't study in the second. Will repeat the targets tomorrow, and hopefully post once I'm done with them!

@SergioRamos Thanks for that lovely post! It has been months since I have had that feeling wherein you immerse yourself in studies. Miss that sense of satisfaction. Going to start trying from tomorrow! And welcome back :)

Was able to cover most of the targets. Did slack off in the last session otherwise this could have been a really good day. After seeing@nerdfighter and his insane zeal for studying, I'm going to try to include a total "productive hours" counter just to increase the accountability.

Targets: 9-10 Hours

  • Statics & Dynamics PYQs (3/4)
  • Finish Vision April CA (2/2)
  • Finish 2020 Abhyaas Tests Revision (2/2)

Good morning. After a good yesterday, it is time to increase one level. Target is to reach that previous level of consistency again.

Today's target:-

  1. NABARD- Quant (Average); GA June Current Affairs
  2. History Optional- Guptas, Vakatakas and Vardhanas (Target is to complete Polity, Administration and Economic conditions portion)
  3. PT 365- Government schemes (First 25 pages)

My target is 6-8 hours today. Keeping a timer of 30 minutes helps. I was able to limit my walks to a certain extent but I did overshoot that limit of 5 minutes once in the evening when I walked for nearly 30 minutes. I will try again today not to repeat that. The energy and enthusiasm here is wonderful. Keep going.

Hi friends, so I didn’t update because of the guilt of not having completed anything substantial from my targets yesterday. But I realised that adulting and owning up are jigari dost. So here’s me boarding that train, i guess. It seems like a long ride from Shameville, but one I’m willing to take. Here’s hoping today we don’t get de-railed. Is shubh soch ke sath, targets for 30.7.21 (can you believe July is over????):

@sjerngal glad to hear that the doggy is better. Funny thing is I actually dreamt about playing with stray pups aaj and woke up to your update here. Am I psychic like That’s So Raven? I’d like to believe so.

Basically it means doing something or the other everyday.
Not just focusing on doing everything in a matter of 2-3 days, rather stay consistent.
It is better to give your 80% everyday, rather than giving you 100% for just 2-3 days and then crumbling under your own pressure.
I hope this makes sense.!

I am really sorry for bothering but I have been meaning to ask this question for a long time. How are you guys able to complete PT 365 and bulky books of history in a day? It takes me 3-4 days to complete a PT magazine and its revision takes min 2 days.

Polity pt365 is very small and very easy to read. Plus most of it what I have already read many times in monthly magazines. So there is nothing new per se.

On the other hand environment pt365 is bulkier and I have a feeling it will take me a week max to do it properly.

Regarding bulky books, like I mentioned earlier somewhere, I had made about one page spider diagrams of each chapters and had made questions while I was reading the books , I am personally not reading any book cover to cover at this point of time. Just recalling and revising those short notes and questions.  Hence it isn't taking much time.  Honestly I have not even put more than 8 hours on any day as of now.  In the end I will go through pyqs and mocks and see if there is anything that I have left.

This is what I have been doing. I don't know if it will work or not. Lets see.
