CSE 2021: Plan / Strategy / Daily Routine

Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.

This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.

No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

For about 30% of the time today, my attention was very scattered. The lecture played on & I just went through the motion of watching it just because I had to — like an atheist son in a Hindu family at the time of some Puja. He neither understands nor does he have any interest in the alien-sounding words being chanted.

Or maybe, it was just that some of the subject matter was too boring.

--

This is a productive dictum I learned recently from Joey Schweitzer. It goes like this: "That which costeth energy giveth energy". He says that when you feel tired, do something that needs you to expend some energy like go out for a walk or go for a run or workout. And you'll feel less tired after that. You can also use it as a mid-day reset. It is a very counter-intuitive idea but It seems to be working, at least for now. Maybe, it's just placebo and it is working because I want it to work. Maybe.

Also got this as gift today. I wanted to put everything aside and start reading it. :D

:ok_hand::ok_hand: waao. M saving my weekend for a popcorn movie Mimi. Heard decent reviews. Anybody watched that yet?

GOOD DAY TODAY.
Eyes felt heavy before lunch, but I pushed myself to not fall asleep.

Targets for today did seem overwhelming in the start, I even thought of giving up. But then I was like "Log kya kaheinge"  .. LOL!! (I guess posting targets here is actually worth it)
And here I am all work for today done .. still solving some more questions before finally winding up for the day.
Goodnight world :)

Hello folks! Targets for 3007:

1. Consti modules 3-11

2. IR 1 unit

Almost forgot to update. My medicine cocktail had me feeling very drowsy and brain foggy throughout the day. Even had to nap in the afternoon. Well it is what it is. Will try to be more active tomorrow, do some yoga and stay away from beds.

1. Partially done

2. Done

Consti 2 has to be finished tomorrow no matter what. Burning whatever notes are left.

Module 2 will just have to be broken up and dealt with bit by bit every day.

Couldn't finish env today, just a small portion left. Will finish that in the end. Epfo portion would be covered by the time I retire to bed.

Me to myself -GG boi

28/06

  • Finish mapping
  • Finish Geo
  • 40mins epfo

The second dose of vaccine is scheduled for tomorrow, all my targets now depends on AstraZeneca. Hopefully won't have to take another 3 days of bedrest. Ugggh

All targets are carried forward to tomorrow. Just able to complete few chapters of geography before the headache kicked in.

Couldn't do much due to vaccination, despite the side effects were none compared to the first dose.

29/06

  • Finish mapping
  • Finish Geo
  • 40mins epfo

Still had weakness all day long due to covishield, slept for 3 hours at noon like a baby. Felt better by the evening but I went out for shopping something.

2 days and practically read nothing. I've got an excuse of vaccination but I guess personal excuses aren't a reason to not cover up the things. Have to clock 12hours from tomorrow, all due to external influences like@nerdfighter  and few other things.

30/07

  • Geo

                =>Complete ncerts

                =>Maps (Rivers, mountains, world)

  • PRS annual report - 1/4th
  • 40mins epfo

Hoping to cover more than 1/3rd of it tomorrow.  Olympics, F1 and economics. Seems like a busy weekend, ah!

Pankaj Tripathi has been shining since Masaan. I like his dark humor roles more than his dark ones(Gangs movie).

Kriti is my opinion did a good work. It was refreshing. Only if she could tone down her makeup a little bit and her glamorous side, she would have perfected it. You should see her baby deliver scene, what an acting !!

Today was one of those days where almost from the morning session, you know you are just trying to do things for the sake of it. Was distracted a lot, productivity was less in the first half and I didn't study in the second. Will repeat the targets tomorrow, and hopefully post once I'm done with them!

@SergioRamos Thanks for that lovely post! It has been months since I have had that feeling wherein you immerse yourself in studies. Miss that sense of satisfaction. Going to start trying from tomorrow! And welcome back :)

Was able to cover most of the targets. Did slack off in the last session otherwise this could have been a really good day. After seeing@nerdfighter and his insane zeal for studying, I'm going to try to include a total "productive hours" counter just to increase the accountability.

Targets: 9-10 Hours

  • Statics & Dynamics PYQs (3/4)
  • Finish Vision April CA (2/2)
  • Finish 2020 Abhyaas Tests Revision (2/2)

Could only partially finish up the targets. April Monthly was finished but the other two are work in progress. The maths chapter will certainly demand more time.

Studied for around 7 hours. Most of the first half was spent in watching the Olympic Games. PV Sindhu continues to march on, love her perseverance. Hope she does well tomorrow and inspires the rest of Indian contingent (AND ME!) to have the big match spark!

Targets: 9-10 Hours

  • Statics & Dynamics PYQs (4/6)
  • Finish 2020 Abhyaas Tests Revision (3/3)
  • Vision May CA (1/2)

Good morning. So yesterday was hectic. So much work outside and I could study for 6 hours yesterday but could not  complete my target. I covered NABARD portion but not History optional. Today also there is some more work to be done. So I will keep it short.

  1. PT365 Government Schemes (No specific target but intention is to complete it)
  2. NABARD- Quant (Ratio and Proportion); Finish June 2021 GA for ARD; ESI schemes and Reports

One positive thing about yesterday was that I was able to limit my walks. Only once did I breach the limit. The more I study, the more I can control my wavering mind and can have less thoughts.

Good morning everyone.
Woke up to a very bad morning. I don't know if I would be able to study today or not, because I usually get distracted with all this.

Anyway, still hoping to complete the following:

  • Analyse mistakes in Geography mock
  • Themes in History-Part 2 (half)
  • Active recall of Part 3,4,5,6 of Lakshmikant (2nd last day of polity revision)
  • Anything else that I feel like.

Good luck to all..

Newspaper

Laxmikant revision-1/3

PT polity- to be completed

Another super performance by Kamalpreet Kaur and she will definitely win the medal , Neeraj Chopra is also serious medal contender but it will also depend on other players if they perform their worse and he performs his best then he has chance of bronze or silver (as gold is going to J.Vetter)
