CSE 2021: Plan / Strategy / Daily Routine

Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.

This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.

No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Moderator Update: This thread has crossed 1 million views and has thousands of comments slowing down the website. We are closing this and moving to the next thread

Sorry I forgot to post last night. I did art and culture and daily current affairs only.
Also, do you guys know about the Korean app called Yeolpumta? One can create study rooms, can plan the day, can record the study time. I think it is similar to forest app but it has this added sense of competitiveness.
I was just exploring this app and felt like sharing 👉🏻👈🏻

Yeaahh! I hope I hope. From yesterday I have been cursing IOC for having Sindhu play against Tai who is number 1. Why they did not let her play with World no.8 , I know there are some calculations but just because I don't want to blame Sindhu or praise Tai, just shift the blame to another authority. I so wished she could convert her silver into gold.

And I just got to know a thing, Sindhu actually beat Tai in the Rio semi-finals to enter into final. So finally Tai took her Badla, her inteqaam( Shaadi mei zaroor aana inteqaam in background).

Not just in Rio, Sindhu also beat Tai and eventually won the World Championship in 2019. And 2019 was when the peak of Tai started (it still continues). Sindhu brings something else to the table in big games. Yesterday Tai was just on a different level, specially in the second set.

Anyway, I'm still super excited for today's game and I'm sure that Sindhu will be back in 2024. Win or lose, she'll always fight and inspire!

She inspires to another level. She was just too good in the first set. 18-21 was a close match.

Second set, tai dominated to another level. I felt she was just dropping near the nets which didn't give Sindhu much oppurtunity to hit smashes and make Tai move around the court. Tai was again and again dropping near net and at the same place for 3-4 times. Sindhu understood it in second set, her start was good but then Tai started dominating.

I am already cheering Sindhu for today's game. She is one of the most phenomenal player and inspirational. I so wish she participates not only in 2024 but in 2028 as well . She would be the first woman individual player, if she wins today to win 2 olympic medals.

Mary Kom missed the chance :)

I am sorry I am not able to take any information in. I feel tired today. And angry for some specific reason. I should just go sleep and begin again tommorow. I really didnt want an unproductive day today because I am going to take a day off this week on my birthday. And i wanted it to be guilt free. But it is what it is.

One positive thing was focus was top notch today for 90% of my work time.

Also I began my work day 3 hours after I woke up. I went for breakfast outside wirh my didi and jiju & we ended up roaming around the town for 2 hours in search of that perfect chai.

---

P.S. Does anybody feel their self esteem is aligned with productivity? Like you feel you arent worth anything if you arent productive?

Absolutely, I feel the same .. There are days when my self esteem depends on the number of study hours I have put in. Below 6 hours, I consider myself a loser and just make things hard for me for no reason. Deep down I know it doesn't matter. One or two odd days of not being productive don't matter .. But my anxiety being my "best friend". Always makes me feel that I am no good and bla bla bla..

Luckily enough, I began using this for my own benefit. These non productive days of self loathing and low self esteem, help me push forward and come back harder and stronger than before..

Really really happy she won! Have promised myself I will follow more than just Olympics/CWG/Asian games this cycle. Let us see how it goes.

Congratulations to everyone who's been following the Olympic Games, now turn for the Hockey team to come through :D

Good morning Guys, starting a bit early today.
Only one target for today

  • Finish polity revision at any cost.

On a side note, turning one year older this month. Also, only 70 days left for prelims now.
Time to make the most out of it.

Finished polity revision more or less.. Just left with Elections.. Will leave it for 2nd round of revision and switch over to a new subject tomorrow.
Studied for 10 hours today.. I dont think I studied for these many hours since my 12th board exams.
Acche din aa gaye kya???
Super proud of myself. ..!!

@calvinhobbes @Archand This was a game to remember. Not because Sindhu won bronze but because of the perseverance, grit and patience she showed. Yesterday's game broke hearts of all but Sindhu came back strongly.

The way she played. I was amazed. Her smashes were too good for the opponent to pick. And ofcourse the cross court shots. She even played those back hand shots so perfectly and sometimes she hit cross court shots through them as well.

Whaaatt a matchh!! And even I made the decision to watch from now on every other match of Sindhu. If not every , atleast the semi-finals and finals.

@Archand that was the impact over most of us who followed Sindhu.

@calvinhobbes I have very high hopes with this olympics. We have men's hockey. We have wrestling and some new as well. Read about Kamalpreet kaur and others. Lets see. Kaash 6-7 aa jaye.
