[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

@neyawn sir and others, what is your take?

This is the official Thread for discussion of Prelims Postponement, Please do not create new threads for the same.

@Equalizer precisely agar inhe postponed karna hota based on data they wud have already come up with guidelines etc...lack of those means unless it becomes politically unviable they will carry on with exam as they need to open school colleges. If they can't conduct a single day exam how can school colleges be open all through the week

jee neet aspirants have turned this into a movement. They are all over social media. They now have the support of many YouTubers, media houses, and opposition parties.

Now clearly the pressure is on govt. And if they go ahead with postponement of jee neet then we are looking at a zero academic year because it will send out a message that situation is not OK in the country for the conduct of such exams which obviously govt. would not want to do bcoz then the pressure will be on other recruitment bodies, academic institutions to postpone their exams as well. So this is a dicey call for the govt.

@Sherkhan1428 the way he spoke during the meeting! Even if he had a problem with others he should have shut his mouth or could've said it politely that "I'm sorry i can speak english very well but i do not want to speak to any one of you right now, so i must leave the conference and show my tantrums to my family instead to you all"

I can't even call him anpadh or ganwar because then people will think I'm calling him names because he don't know how to speak English.. 🙈 but i would like to call him a ganwar because he doesn't know how to even behave!!

@Soul In a country like India Which is a continental size and people speak different languages , with each language have a huge sizeable number speaking it , English should be offical language. As English is part of our history , india is the call centre of world is because of English and english is economically viable and makes Indians employable abroad  .  And mainly Because it suppresses ego of which language is better or older ...etc. All these language debate leads to damage of national integration.

i don't think we need English to become our official language. Rather we need to practice more tolerance and acceptance in India.

Accepting that India is humongous country with huge diversity is not enough, we are segregated by class, caste and creed.

Suggesting government to do something while being in our comfort zone is not a solution.. practice tolerance when you encounter a person with different value system or beliefs or language or whatever..

This is based on what I've encountered in real time. A general and more accepted example would be that If we see a german not being able to speak English, we don't judge him. they dare to travel the whole world even when they don't know the so called universal language of communication "English".

It's our brain cells that have an issue rather than a language or something else. Indians are hell prejudiced, we are raised like that. It has to change.

And also our education system, even after the implementation of new education policy, is not going to change the outcome drastically.. if English would become an official language, it will still remain the language of urban areas, and the current demographics dividend that we brag about will be segregated on one more characteristic- English speaking and non English speaking.

This would do much more harm than required..
