Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.
@neyawn sir and others, what is your take?
This is the official Thread for discussion of Prelims Postponement, Please do not create new threads for the same.
There is one more thing I would like to share.
Always try to apply common sense in combination with examiners mindset, just think what examiner might have thought while framing option.
Eg in 2018 the question on fssai was asked , option 2 was that it is under director general of health services. Now it is common sensical that food safety is not directly related to health services, so you can eliminate that. Similarly, there was the question on additional protocol, many got confused between civil program and military program, but on calm reading of question it was clearly asked in context of India signing it. So straight away military program option is eliminated, as no country would want it's military program inspection done by IAEA.
It's just such small things which boosts the score. And the ability to opt for such thinking IMO is checked in the exam.
@whatonly revise the tests which u have already done...dont go for mad rush.. doing tests without doing revision(atleast 2 times) is complete waste of time..
Thank you :) will be doing this. I have noted down all my mistakes/logical missteps.
My plan 20 days price to prelims has always been to revise pt 5-7 times.
Revise all the pyqs only 2 times. Reading the factual data from spectrum and lucent. I read lucent economy, geography, history part. And that is mostly binge reading.
But I always prepare the repeated topics and options very well, and I have my own experience to say that 50+ questions can be solved if pt is done and pyqs are done.
For me I would not concentrate much on the maps based question, I don't have the aptitude for maps honestly speaking, so the only thing which I do is to make some pnemonics of oceans bordering countries and just using them in the exam, instead of doing maps I would once more revise static topics of pyqs.

true....i also felt that last year many questions were from PT...and last time i only did PTs till feb and still many questions were direct...hepetatis B, pvtg, caspr(also repeated), aiib, maternity benefit, H-CNG, double humped camel, atal innovation....
conclusion- PT is really imp especiallly of economy envt s&t social issue....
Based on my analysis of how they frame questions from PYQs and options, i would suggest everyone to look upamir khusrauand prepare factual pointers.
#1.Khusrauquestion has been asked thrice; but it dates back toearly 2000s and late 90s.
#2. More importantly,Khusrauhas been mentioned inAugust Yojana Magazine(along withkalarippayattuof course)
Not trying to outthink UPSC ! Just agut feeling.
*channeling my inner RANCHO*
