[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021
Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

Does anyone know what is the source of Compensatory Afforestation obligations? It’s not Forest Conservation Act. There is nothing in the act about this. Under what Act/Rules is this implemented?Compensatory afforestation fund act,2016.
Nahin yaar! The obligations for Compensatory Afforestation are much older. 2016 Act only deals with how money in CAMPA Funds are to be used.

Got it! Rules framed under Forest Conservation Act. If the question says something like “ FCA mandates compensatory afforestation” - mark it wrong :-)

If the question says:
” Forest Conservation Act mandates compensatory afforestation on equal amount of land diverted for non-Forest purposes” —->This wrong.
These obligations are mentioned in Rules and not the Act.

Last time they asked: Environment Protection Act empowers the govt to prescribe public consultation. Most people marked —>Correct (assuming that EIA has public consultation and it is notified under EPA). Final key says this is wrong because the phrase “public consultation” does not occur in the act.
