[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

We will get a better idea about what is the official stance on competitive exams on June 1st itself, when SSC exam dates are supposed to be reviewed.

off topic : In am from Mumbai and there's no bulk printouts  of test papers available and they are even not getting couriered from Delhi. Any suggestions what to do .

@skirti_0826946 i don't know if this is feasible in Mumbai, but see if you can buy a printer. Totally worth it for aspirants in this lockdown world.

@12432TrivendrumRajdhani I can empathize since I am also in a containment zone.Its different to be affected by Coronavirus and to hear of people getting affected.People here r impatient for exams sitting in comfort.Its easy to label migrants as impatient who can't even have two meals per day.Thousands of migrants have come in my villages nearby and most of them have not been receiving even one meal in a day.I don't know why there is a thinking in people of Maharashtra and Gujarat that migrants just want to go home even after giving food.If they were getting two meals per day why anyone would risk lives by walking 2000km.
They r running because they fear dying.Death not because of Coronavirus but due to lack of food.To some extent,this pandemic has exposed class divides.

@pizzza Paper was a bit tough.I think cutoff will be 100-105.Centres infecting more than 105 students should start preparing for mains.

On 15th August, everyone will be asked to sacrifice for the "Nation", and every restriction will be lifted. So, exam should be conducted after Independence day. 😊

Possible option for Upsc if it decide to conduct exams in August or September -

Allotting nearby non red zone center to candidates from containment zones or red zone (considering current restrictions in lockdown we can safely say that by August or September these restrictions on the movement of people will completely be removed)

Since most of the state govt. are of the view to extend the lockdown ; I don't see the possibility of July 5th . AS the school centers themselves need to get prepared for to conduct the exam . With most of the schools being closed and faculty's still working form home, July doesn't seem a possible option. Moreover Schools seems to reopen in July that could help them prepare for the same. 


Though I am in the favour for July month; I wish ki UPSC just disclose the schedule as promissed !!

@Tokyo ðŸ¤£ bro, thats just the lifting of lockdown! Not the end of corona! And they have left it on the states to decide on lifting several restrictions post june 8th! Its doesnt mandatorily lifts the lockdown.

So it will wholly depend on the situation in the states ! 

And talking about shops! They were already open in many states since past few weeks.  Individual movement will still be restriced during a particular time frame of the day and this is the factor upsc will take into consideration ,(they had to eventually allow opening up of businesses, shops to support the already deteriorating  economy but conducting an exam is a different game altogether)

vo bhi tab jab states ready ho jayengi 

agar UPSC ke liye relaxation de Bhi de states toh Bhi pehle baki sab hoga 

hum log prelims de rahe hain toh humare liye vo important hai 

baki exams Bhi toh UPSC ke liye important hain

unko byepass karke prelims Kaiser hoga?
