[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

@Howzthejosh absolutely right. Those in 94-98 range like me should start mains preparation asap and without having any second thoughts. Till the time result comes we can complete sizeable portion of optional and ethics at least. We can for now avoid revision of CA of Jan to May coz if result is not in our favour than these CA won't be much useful for next attempt.

I know it's not easy but even if we don't get in still these 40 days preparation will definitely benefit us next time. Moreover it's Oct now. We already have lost 4 months of the upcoming attempt. And know one thing UPSC answer key will be the final judge. 2-3 ambiguous questions in ur favour can get u in even if u are getting 90.

@Daarubaaj yes exactly! "Essence" poocha tha unhone. So A would definitely be correct. Even Shubra Ranjan ma'am kept it under doubtful. And atleast voter toh hona zaroori hain yaar for becoming a minister. Agar Donald Trump man jayega, usko laake rakh sakte hain kya India mein as a minister?!

I have a score of 72 -75 in CSAT from various keys and above 110 in GS paper-1..Chances of me clearing CSAT?Giving me sleepless nights..
U can check revised key of shankar ..they have updated csat key...score will increase .
It has increased my marks to 85 from current 75. I still think that 3-4 passages are a bit wrong like that Asset allocation, malnutrition etc. But I think I will keep running around in circles by checking different answer keys as in every key I am getting 70+ so I should be safe. Should start mains prep asap.

Same here but articles given by@Aurang_mirasudar are real source....I cross checked with 2019 paper ..by looking into articles ..and upsc takes answers from that articles....assumption is first line verbatim around the image....so if u want to check answers which upsc will give...it is written in articles provided by aurang.

Last year question :

1. Legislative assembly may follow rules of loksabha. - true as per official 2019 key.

There are so many things in 2019 key ... My marks for 2019 has increased almost 10 by those keys ..whereas all coachings have said NO to the options which i thought as best correct. Coachings go too technical in general for polity. It is not so.

I will not wonder if next year - constitution "defines" basic structure .... - will be true in 2020 official key. You know why - "defines" technically means .. a document must have crude and explicit definition for said thing. But - If you read or use define word in general parley -Defines is simply like ... pertains to. for ex : I say - Honesty defines you. ... or Say ... You defines the whole group. What does this mean?

I mean to say - the way UPSC frames question - It does not intends to frame lexically word by word.

I am open to bet for 2020 key for two statements :

1. A person.. can vote ... eligible to be minister. >>True.

2. Constitutiondefines* basic structure*in terms of* --- etc etc. >>True.

But- In our statement in question - The meaning of defines is not "contains explicitly" but just simply "contains implicitly" and emphasis is on "in terms of".

@sahanrshetty1875 i faced this exact situation 2 years back. didnt fill code in csat. no issue. do not worry. if really frightened and for own satisfation, you can write a representation to upsc, deposit at their counter. upsc is pretty chill in such matters.

@gauravbrly409 consti. did not define what basic structure was. It was the Supreme Court judges who did that.

Yeah his articles are real source and with that too I am getting 75. I doubt I will fail in this. Never thought it would come to that. I was confident when I came out of the exam hall but later realized that I had done silly mistakes in 2 quant questions and few quant questions I had left because they felt intimidating in exam hall but were much easier to do. Nevertheless, hope things turn out to be okay.

in upsc questions especially questions of polity, Minimalist logic is not the answer. You can review what i saying by downloading official keys and checking previous years questions of polity and politicla philosphy.

@vision2020we all know it sir, It depends what statement actually wants to ask, IT is about decoding the question behind statemnt. and Statement not asking whether it ahs been explicitly defined. They just used the word defines in general sense.

Bhai log, one last thing before I start mains prep. Passing marks in CSAT is 66 or 67? I mean in the worst case scenario I might end up with 66.67, so just asking!

Then factually , LA can use rules of loksabha .. is false as per facts. But, 2019 key given it is as true. the statemnt has word "can".. and it makes sense as speaker has full descretion for it. and .. There is nowhere written that Loksabha rules cant be used in LA>

UPSC has mentioned 33% so it is 66 and not 67

i have very bleak chances to clear pre

after attempting this pre,i am planning to leave this preparation(nahi ho payega humse) and get back to IT jobs

aur ek man yeh bhi keh raha hai ki ab upsc ke sath sath dedicated baki PSC and non-banking exams ki bhi tayari karu(banks exam ki maths reasoning mere upar se jaati hai )

in upsc i can develop my logical guesses,is exam me bhi i applied some logical guesses and derived the ans,but andh tukka marke ans laanayeh completely us din aapki kisma kaisi hai uspe depend karta hai

seniors plz suggest how to prepare others psc exam and others exam dedicatedly with uspc,jisne qualaified kia ho plz reply....bpsc december me hai
