Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.

@pysh12950my first 2-3 answers were nvr good in GS1 and I nvr wrote in subheadings.only bullet points and para.. got 108 in 2016 and 111 in 2017 because of good content in other questions.
This article claims that Gitanjali got 15 marks in one of her attempts in essay. Don't know how true.

Notification me 25% is for both the language papers and not all the papers. You have to secure minimum 25% in both the language papers to be able to see your marks.

Bhai, 9 marks milna impossible hai.
UPSC ki notification mein Likha hits hai ki the candidate must get at least 25% marks in all the 9 papers to be able to see his/her marks.

Horror stories,horror stories and nothing more. I have neither seen coaching industry talk positive nor aspirants.Jab bhi idhar aao to negativity aur kuch nahi.
I am an average student.Went without any preparation in essay and managed to score135.Mybatch mate prepared with me and gave the exam with literally no essay prep.I know his level and thought he won't score more than 50.But he ended up scoring 120.If these horror stories are true how do people manage to clear the exam.I have seen average normal people clearing the exam in prep of 9 months.
Pregnant lady ka baccha tak ho jaata hai 9 mahine mein aur toppers se suna hai 3 saal 14 ghante padho.Jab nature tak 9 mahine mein ek nayi zindagi de deti hai to yeh exam kya cheez hai.
Optional mein 9 marks.Kya pagalpanti hai.Mein 2 mahine ki prep ke saath(which I did with full time PG with classes even on sunday,8 hours classes everyday,pre placement talks,surprise quizzes and presentations,surprise class participation) ke saath 250 number le aaya optional mein after leaving 120 marks paper blank.
I know that I am true.If If these stories are true then either I am a ghost or there is something wrong with this world.
Was'nt there on any social media for past 20 months and hence managed to keep my motivation high,prepare well with decent papers.But since the past 1 month social media and its negative stories.
Leaving social media forever and will be in peace and who knows if god helps might even secure a rank this time.
Anyone who wish to do well in the exam I would advice him/her to leave the forum.

Totally agreed bro. Do not over react, some people negative discussion should not make feel that this forum is full of negativity. It has been beneficial to have informed yet light hearted discussion with some noise(negative). Its all about how you take it and not shutting yourself down, then you'll only be left by yourself in this world.

@K_9Yahi to samaj nahi aata.Jab logon ke 9 marks aate hain,have heard people saying they get 50 marks in essay and I got between 90 and 100 in all gs papers after leaving more than 60 in each gs paper barring ethics and 250 in anthro.
Yeh kaise ho sakta hai?
I did'nt even know the syllabus before attempting the gs papers.Had just made notes from hindu for 3 years as hobby and mugged them up.
Agar un logon ki story sunta hun aur apne marks dekhta hun to samaj nahi aata chal kya raha hai zindagi mein

@Raja123Sabki alag alag hobby hoti hai.Had notes for 2017 attempt since may 2013( since the time of US fed reserve tapering and Raghuram rajan being appointed governor.Read newspaper during those times when I was in 2nd year of engineering and interest developed and in engineering started reading and making notes from paper for1-2 hour everyday,just as a hobby
