Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.

Don't u think quoting iqbal in culture question will backfire? Guys plz put ur views. I think someone who have written that Indian culture has continuity would be much better...because this is what iqbal meant.

Just to change the narrative to studies.
All those who have written mains earlier and have some idea about marking and all,how many marks are u people expecting in each gs paper,essay and optional?
Even those who have'nt written mains earlier are free to contribute..I have no idea about marking so I have estimated 3 for average answer out of 10,6/15 for average and 7-8/15 for best answers and 5/10 for best answers.These are minimum I have estimated.Might be wrong also.
Everyone is free to contribute to this discussion..

@bevancompaper se ane ke bad outline paper ke margins pe likh dena chahiye (fir yad ana nahi ane ka tension) nahi rahta.
Marking scheme differs widely,
but imo 15 msrkers me 9 to 4 hai marks ka variation.
and in 10 markers 3 to 7 hai variation.
I am expecting 800 plus score ab how much i will really get depends upon n number of factors.
But i have completed papers.
quality of bakar is less
irrelevant stuff is less.
hence i dont see going below this threshold.
plus essay me no f'ups this time, and gs paper 3 and anthropology paper 1 quality of questions is excellent.(we all need two three paper scores in superlative to be safe for interview call).

@sat_009Sahi hai.Mujhe bhi same feeling aa rahi hai.Yahan pe discussion dekh ke lagta hai cutoff will be below 770 in any case.Agar aisa hua to 810 number aane pe bhi final list mein naam aa sakta hai.

@sat_009please enlighten us with ur paper wise predictions...I feel ,u will get 125+in gs-3 and 165 +in anthropology paper 1 with the kind of answers u have written .In GS-1,ur marks will hover around d 115...
@Haeckeldefinitely,if he has written this kind of stuff..Then he deserves to be there...Thoda upar neeche ho sakta hai,but one will be in the merit list in any case if getting superlative marks in two gs papers and optionals and has not f*ed up in essays..
