ANY BREAK UP OF HOW MANY UR AND DIFFERENT CATEGORIES STUDENTS WERE SELECTED FOR MAINS ?

Can we get this through RTI

What was your routine ? How many hours were you able to dedicate to UPSC daily ?

@dancingminionatleast 5 on weekdays, 8 on weekends. I stay near office. 10 min walk. No energy lost in travel, more time to study.

5 hrs on weekdays is quite good! What was your schedule ?

I am thinking of taking up a job and studying 2-3hr before office and atleast 1-2 hr after office. Just a bit conflicted on whether I will be able to manage or not.

With job 3 to 4 hour, without job 6 to 7 hour which was stretched as exam approached. Found it exhausting to study with job...but then it also has some benefit IMO, it improves ur profile for interview. U have some stuff where u can speak ur mind.

What was the time between mains and result declaration last year ? Does anyone remember ? I think December last week is the probable perios this year. My boss(1991 batch) was reminiscing yesterday that results took forever in those days and we are lucky.

@ChampakLast exam was on 7th of October 2018. The results were declared on 20th of December 2018. So expecting results between 15-20 December.

@dancingminionjob 8 to 5. Then At home by 5.20. 6 to 8 study, 1 hour break for dinner. Then 9 to 12 study. Sleep at 12.30.

@ranyo_asoka@foxmulderThanks. SInce DAF- II is yet to be submitted, I doubt that interviews will start immediately after the results are declared. Maybe a month or so . FC for 2020 is scheduled for August 2020 only. UPSC wouldnt be in a hurry.

Out of all the model GS answers keys released by the coaching institutes. Which do you think is good ?

@ranyo_asokayr maine apni university k prof. se baat kari thi, some prof. known to him returned from Delhi yesterday after staying for 1 month there(for copy checking). He said that answercopies of optionals and GS are checked, no idea about essay. Preparing result takes time.

@ranyo_asokaWell Shankar academy is saying that results will come on December 9th. Have no idea where they got this info though.

@Rand_Al_Thori think they were right during post interview final result last time..hopefully right this time as well

I filled all 48 pages in essay i.e 24 pages per essay.I write around 80 words in each page.
24*80=1920 words for each essay.
Later I saw that each essay had to be written in 1000-1200 words.Will it be a problem?
