@MadamSir jisko Jo bhaasha bolni hai bolo Yaar. Never understood why people tend to get angry over whether someone speaks mother tongue or not. English is thriving for two reasons in my opinion:-

1. Hindi is not the mother tongue of more than half our population and many don't understand it well. English acts as a uniting language in many ways
2. There's dearth of quality science work in Hindi. Someone opting for engineering or medical would have difficulty finding Hindi books for the same.

If someone really wants to promote Hindi, he/she should ensure quality translations are available for academic works or else next generation will continue to prefer English medium of education.

like you, i too find anger or violence over mother tongue unjustified. but i disagree with the two reasons that you have given, which according to you, contribute to the popularity of english language among us indians.

to your first point, people use english not only when it is needed for effective communication, but often because speaking english is considered a gateway to elitehood. and that is why, north indians, who can speak and understand hindi very well, shy away from hindi or feel underconfident in speaking it.

to your second point, yes hindi has not made its forays in explaining science, but more than the engineering or medical students, humanities students are found relatively stronger votary of english. eg. du or jnu students in contrast to iit or aiims students.

i am not making any value judgements here. to each his/her own. but it's what it is.

@CaesarBut unko please krne ke liye bola then u will have conflict in ur mind jo body language me visible hoga, right side vala member yhi observe krta hai.

However hard I try to be detached, rational and realistic by not expecting much from the result( given my performance), somehow after giving it your all in those 9 days, hope crops up. To all those here who have tasted this before, please shed some light on how to handle failure? How to get back the zest and confidence? How to rise again?

Out of 11800 who appeared in mains, How many of them would have joined GS test series? I think around 5000 at max..because 2400-2500 at max from Vision Ias,450 from Forum Ias..likewise..if calculated,it roughly amounts to 5000 at max!!!
What others say?

@RealMangoif you/me fail to find roll number in sacred pdf. then first cry a lot in a room. it will help in relaxing mind. Go nd watch a movie and sleep. from next morning, a new beginning

@zombielandI feel that after going through so many such events most of the people here have become hardened to these episodes. Crying doesn’t come naturally anymore. Probably bottled up feelings will one day burst for sure, not voluntarily though..
