Now that 1 week is over, it is time to shift focus to Mains. With barely 103 days left there is no time to waste.

I don't know if it's because of preparation making me more knowledgeable or is it because I've become less emotional in general.
Exactly what i thought. These protests serve as a valve where people can pour out their frustrations of the current political system. Apparently they think this is a participative democracy. I am sure some of them would'nt even have voted in their lifetime. So this is a easy way to do their part which I think is highly dangerous as there are no constructive debates and further discourages genuine citizens who do their part and to say the least, govt junks most of them as politically motivated ideas.
@visionmanthis is nothing like participative democracy. These people have a sense of superiority complex regarding what they are standing for and whoever opposes them is a misinformed bhakt. Democracy is about tolerating difference in opinion. Further, they are also spreading a lot of rumours.
They spoke a lot about police brutality in Jamia but are not speaking at all about vandalism that has taken place in other parts of India.
I am personally opposed to proposed NRC and neutral towards CAB and have also voices against it here as well. But these protests are not the way ahead. They are needed to an extent but once they get violent, the entire meaning is lost. It sets a dangerous precedence.

@NadigVinaysaid inMains 2019 Preparation and Discussion Thread:
On results: People in tg are telling that it's either before upcoming Wednesday or post 16th Jan as there is some court case related to EWS on 16th. Any idea what's this case about?
Copy pasting the response i got in tg:
"It means that,
- The EWS aspirants approached the tribunals against the order of UPSC to withheld their candidature.
- However, EWS were allowed to write the mains as per order of tribunal on 19.09.2019.
- Post mains, result declaration is contentious issue because if the EWS are left out of the list may lead to serious issues. However, if their names are mentioned in the list, say with astrix, it would be safer as case would be sorted out before the commencement of interview. The case is listed for 16 jan.
In view of above tribunal directed the declaration of results including the EWS
PS: Here EWS means aspirants have have failed to declare their certificates in the format sought by upsc.
If EWS loses the case then Non genuine EWS will be replaced by genuine EWS.
That's why case will be dealt before Interview.
Assume that for now UPSC will release real/true/ raw result.
Then there will be two scenarios:
EWS loses the case - Genuine EWS will replace the non genuine one.
EWS wins - status quo."
@NadigVinayye saari bakchodi abhi hi honi thi kya

@NadigVinaybhai nobody knows anything.. everything is jst speculation....upsc un 8 logo ko mains me hi fail kr skti hai and its end of story and CAT cant do anything abt it
@Shubzyeah you are correct. Better to stay optimistic about results and keep preparing for interview
@kochikaameyeah, I am just waiting for it n getting frustrated as each day passes by
@NadigVinayin the case that ews side wins the case, Upsc will need to release extra seats for these candidates. As a corollary because it’s the interview stage, they might call for 2.5 times the number for these extra seats. It is a probability that this is the cause of the delay.
However as far as we know Upsc, they do not stop for anyone. They don’t even respect high court orders, only Supreme Court. So to believe even the above the scenario for the delay may be wrong.
@upadhyay-ankur6127868Interview started 1 month after mains result and was completed in 1.5 months. Final result came in July.
@abhinav23raj436
