[Results] Prelims 2020 Over - Gearing for 2021

Because of the corona virus issue? If it does not happen then worst affected will be people whose interview is stuck, around 600-700 such people I think are yet to appear for their interview.

@jagteshwar_sohal25614 there is diff between doable and paper is tough.....u genuinely feel that this paper is easier than last two years? only coaching centre which predicted more than 100 is nextias......tom shankarias will also come with its predictions....so let us wait till then....if the predict more than 100 then definitely i will agree with u

@kranthibudumuri2160 polity and history were sitters. Hence cutoff will be slightly higher i feel....101-103 i feel. Dont get disheartened if anyonr is in 90s you have great potential and even if you dont get selected work hard for mains

@kranthibudumuri2160 last year i was gettin 115 i did not participate in one cutoff speculation...as i know watever may be the cutoff i will clear the exam...this year i am hanging on border so i am forced to....to all getting more than 110 dont waste your time here

It has been 3 days now guys! Let it go! Most of the keys differ anyway. Literally no use of discussing answers. It only hampers our chances in Mains. 
It all brings stress and anxiety, nothing more. Avoid it. Match from 2-3 keys, take an average and move on!

It would be wiser from now on to not spend even 2 months on prelims alone. Just cast a wide net while preparing for gs itself than you usually do. One need not prepare himself for playing Russian roulette. Just reach the centre with a risk taking mindset.

Typical Forum Ias discussions. Those who somehow are on the borderline are intimidated by the high cutoff predictions by some wicked souls. In the process, many miss preparing nicely for Mains. 

Dropping a spoiler(may be absolutely wrong)-Those predicting higher cutoffs are either,

1. Those who haven't even appeared ,or

2.Those who are far from cutoff and are trying to make sure that they spoil the game of others ,or

3. Those who are infact scoring very high but are poorly prepared for Mains.

Beware of these 3 types of aspirants.

*I missed last year's cutoff by a whisker(was getting around 100 in various keys). This year around,  I am in the range of 95-99, so again in that zone. I may be biased towards low cutoff due to my situational crisis but that doesn't take away the fact that I stand by the observations made above.

@walterwhit3 Regarding PAPER 2 at least, noone knows what is correct key, Noone.
UPsc decides and it is the key, when right or wrong. No point in checking Paper 2 keys.

There is no fault of upsc in this...... Problem lies with us only..... We prepare exam on the basis of previous year paper.... And when it comes otherwise it shocks majority of us......exam prep should be like  ZERO BASED BUDGETING...... Broad based and not dependent on previous year......

@Harmony same as yours 90s ke chakkar kaat rahe, 93-99 ghoom rahe as per keys aur apne interpretation se 104 tak v jaa rahe. Attempt v last hai, job v chhod diya 2 saal pahle. Uncertainty mast wali hai.
