Dear Friends,

We are writing to inform you that we are coming up with the  Level-1 of Select Focus Group (SFG) 2026.  The Program will  start from 3rd week of December  and the  Entrance Test is scheduled for 16th November 2025 at 9:30 AM.

SFG is a unique initiative by ForumIAS designed to test the discipline, dedication, and perseverance of aspirants through 7 AM tests every day, 5-6 days a week, on a pre-planned syllabus, followed by a discussion on the same.

About SFG and How it is conducted
SFG is a test based course for Civil Services Prelims where tests are conducted 5 days in a week – at 7AM – in online and offline mode across several cities and centers. You get a daily rank-list in a few hours after you have written the test. You have some awesome post test discussions which you can attend online. You get a weekly ranklist every Sunday – so that you know how you are doing. At the end of the month / 4 weeks, you get a monthly rank-list. At this point, the bottom performing students are required to leave the program so as to not waste their money for a second month. This also ensures that the quality of crowd is maintained – which ensures when you make it to the list – finally – you will meet a lot of your SFG co-aspirants in LBSNAA. You can expect at least a hundred SFG folks every year in LBSNAA. You will know it when you get there.

SFG is conducted in two levels – Level 1 and Level 2. Both will be about 8-9 weeks duration. Level 1 commences from 3rd week of December and ends in the last week of February. Level 2 commences from 1st week of March and ends about 3-4 weeks before the actual prelims. Level 1 has book based questions

Level-1 of SFG 2026 is commencing from 3rd week of December and in this level we will focus on:

  • We will cover NCERTs and Basic books.
  • Including both static and current General Studies Paper-1 topics.
  • Questions pattern and difficulty level will be similar to UPSC CSE Prelims paper.
  • Focus on analytical skills, conceptual clarity, and knowledge consolidation.
  • We have dedicated every Saturday for CSAT test, which will be counted in your overall ranking.
  • Holistically covering PYQs from each topic as per the schedule.

Can the question paper be provided 5/10 minutes prior 07:00? This will help online test givers to get an exam like simulation, using their OMR sheets.

@Neyawn this has been very insensitive of your team to allocate such far away centres for such early morning tests especially considering the unsafe conditions for female aspirants in orn and karol bagh.

Kindly try to change the centres at least after this week, it's a humble request.

@Neyawn @farejul does management even care about student concerns? I have mailed 4 times since yesterday regarding my mode change for sfg test and it has not been changed till now. Right now its almost 9pm and we have test tommorrow morning at 7am. Should I study for my test or worry about this poor management?

Sincere request (5th time) to change my test mode to online mode

@aayushi6662001b9gk2r @Neyawn @farejul rightly mentioned, sir we come every morning, walking 2 kilometers to kalyan center as our room is in new rajindar nagar it was managable last year but sir this years zandewalan centre is far away from our room and no transportation facilities available at morning 6.30 am and booking online cab/bike is more time consuming and mostly unavailable, sir we are more than 6-7 students and many others are facing same problem. we are not giving excuses but its the real situation. we mailed but no response from team. sir if Forum cannot provide or allocate centers near ORN/KALYAN, then this will compel us to leave the program mid way despite being eagerly waiting for the SFG because of its quality and punctuality. Hope this finds some solution.

Thank you

@aayushi6662001b9gk2r @Neyawn @farejul We have already paid for the test series, and we cannot afford ₹100 per day to write the test. There is also a transportation issue in the early morning. We do not understand how the allocation of test centres has been done. We wrote Entrance Test – 1 and paid the fee early because of the centre allocation issue. However, many of my friends received the main centre and nearby centres despite writing the last entrance exam. How is this justified? Please publish our results we already given our tests. And please resolve this issue as soon as possible sir

Thank you

Why my name is not there in the ranklist even though I appeared in the offline test at the designated center? Please have a look and resolve it.

It is extremely disappointing that despite clearing the first entrance test ,old students are being allocated test centres located very far from their place of residence. Such decisions reflect poor planning and disregard for students’ convenience, time, and safety. Management is expected to be fair and considerate, especially towards students who have already proven their merit.
