also why are corporates like apple etc worried
why are their sick hearts going for ukrainis?
do corporates also have heart?
its understandable that whole world is hurting but why corporates?
so my real question is, how is their business hurting due to this conflict?
A war is bad for all involved. For corporates, any war involving Russia is likely to hike up oil prices and that in turn will increase the price of everything else. Besides, share markets always go downwards in the case of a long drawn out war, especially with some mad dictator threatening nuclear annihilation. Plus, in western countries, brands have understood that the most effective advertising may be the grandstanding for the righteous issues.
why is russia not worried about economic sanctions
I assume its Putin's ego now. He thought the entire operation can be done in 2-3 days( ie. replacing the current regime with a pro-Russian Government). He wouldn't have imagined that the entire West would come together so quickly. However the War has stretched and it doesn't look like ending soon. His reputation has already took a severe hit and he can't turn back now. Besides how much would the sanctions personally impact him?
Russians would be hit hard obviously. The Central Bank might hold for sometime but the economy will fail without a doubt. The Citizens are protesting but all that may not have any short term impact.
@masteroptimist mai kadi ninda karunga

Plz someone explain in simple words the impact of sanctions on russia
@krishna96 My take is that they give more marks.Imagine if 40% is highest marks for very good answers then how people got 115 in GS 1 121 in GS 2 108 in GS 3 131 in GS 4And not just one but many have good scores in these range. It is difficult to believe that a topper writes very good answers to all 20 Questions.May be 7-8 very good answers 7-8 good answers 4-5 average answers. However, what is good and what is average is subjective. In my opinion they give 5-5.5 marks for exceptional answers 4-4.5 for good answers 3 3.5 for average and 1 2 for bad answers out of 10 marks.
Based on my past mains, many of us specially in 1st mains mismanage time and end up somehow completing 7 8 questions in hurry.Even if we write some good answers, number of average answers r high. Moreover, sometimes we miss demand. All these factors contribute to low scores.
Thankyou brother...I have completed all questions in time..with relevant points...but After seeing GS-3 paper I was not able to give myself 100 in any...agar ata bhi hai to lagta hai ki mai kaha paunga itna..isliye sab me kam hi dia hu..10 marks zyada aa jaye khushi hogi..kam aya to dil tut jata hai..Jokes apart..Thanks for sharing your inputs.. I definitely agree with your point

Western nations shouldn't sanction Russia because this will affect the "Human Rights" of innocent Russian citizens who weren't actually involved. West would be committing great sin if it's sanctions affect day to day lives of russian citizens. And probably Putin understands that.

The West is targeting Russia's Central Bank. Russia has big reserves in foreign currency (with them as well as in foreign banks). Now all that reserves cannot be used. Russian Central Bank can't withstand for long, on it's own, against rising inflation without these reserves to compensate for it. People are already withdrawing whatever they can and this will result in bank runs in all Russian banks. Chinese also may not be able to lend and help as they may end up losing it all.

Ok I am working with Ebay.com (USA) and they ship product under GSP programme to Ukraine and Russia..and now most important thing is that either shipping is not possible or shipped product could not be delivered...most of the shipped product include apple products. It is reducing the profit margin of both ecommerce and Apple. As neither return is possible due to supply chain being destroyed nor they are able to contact customs to clear their shipments.
@Philip_Marlowe HISTORY optional main 280 ka daawa .we will watch your career with great interest DKT3
history optional is the easiest subject of the world, I may ace it with 21% consciousness. psir is most difficult subject of the multiverse, you cannot capture it... even "Lucy" with her 100 percent consciousness couldn't do it. the reason is because of the "intrinsic creative intellect considerations" that dominate the scoring parameters especially in paper 2 of international relations. in subjects like history we answer same boring questions of past but in psir we essentially deal with "hyperdynamic fragments of fluid realities" that continue to alter the discourses, perceptions and aspects of continuity of life. It's this playing the games of time and attempting to design future predictions fusing past and present with logic and knowledge that requires in-depth talent. History can be aced with books PSIR requires not the books but you to think afresh and create new intellectual content. PSIR is god level subject, history at best, may be a spartan.
With due respect I Disagree. I believe the best practitioners of IR are the ones who know
history. In fact i think IR shouldn't
even be a separate subject rather people with command over history will
always do a better job. Ye sare concepts like Thucydides trap, pincer strategy, middle kingdom complex, ye sab history pdke hi pta chalte hai.
If you want to defeat your enemy you gotta know your enemy's history.
History is the
master subject. No matter how much the world changes, the lessons of
history will always be relevant. Ta hi toh upsc ne essay bhi diya history repeat wala 😆 har jgah history hi to pdte hai or likhte hai. Bas khi political history likhte hai, khi economic history.

This is a valid argument. Large anti-war protests r taking place in Russia. Police has cracked down upon those protestors. They r already suffering due to dictatorship of putin. Sanctions will only increase their sufferings. On one hand west is claiming themselves as protector of human rights in Ukraine On the other hand they r committing human rights violation in russia.
I am new to Forum threads. I have a question regarding personality tests. Are questions asked from entire DAF or only from the summary sheet? I wonder if the entire DAF is visible to the board members at all? The DAF contains information regarding caste and categories and I read somewhere that the board is not aware about the reservation of the candidate. If this is the case, then the board must be having limited access to the DAF.
Someone please shed some light on how the process works. The youtube topper mocks have confused me; there the panel has access to the DAF in its entirety.
