Plus, a long write up, repeating the basics.

Thank you for this @Neyawn :) I was waiting for your post
@Tata Fjord was a bouncer. Wrote a complete incorrect answer. Baaki average/below average answers hi hai
Totally. A part of upsc is being rational and sticking to rational, content driver questions, undoing what it did in the prelims.
And yet a part of the commission wants to ask random questions to keep aspirants confused.

In this year’s mains, for gs3 paper while filling the attendance sheet I wrote the first number wrong and then rewrote it again and bubbled the booklet number correctly, I have asked the invigilator and she said it’s ok but I am still worried , did anyone make a similar mistake, should I contact administration to clarify everything is fine
Kinda made the same mistake in GS3, wrote 1 instead of 0, they asked to just round it up. Shouldn't be a problem.

It should be fine, having said that once mains is over, just write a letter to UPSC , sign it, take its photo. Then send it via speed post, and email the scanned copy to upsc.

In my first paper that is essay paper. I stupidly filled my roll number in place of answer key booklet number on the attendance sheet.
The invigilator used whitener and asked me to fill it correctly this time. Will it be okay?
@Neyawn will they even care a random letter and email i bubbled correctly and the number is also understandable because it is 1 so just a straight line.
The letter is not for them. The letter is your proof, if something goes wrong. Also remember no matter how big aN organisation, a written letter makes a lot of difference.

Yes, that should be fine. Focus on optionals. Control the controllables

Does anyone else feel they could have written this point, that point in the actual exam? Especially now going through my optional it's like "How could have I missed writing that point!". It's one thing that you haven't studied/don't know it, but another feeling of immense regret to not write what you did know.
Everyone.
Ever in the history of writing upsc exam.
That has to do with humanities.
