Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.
This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.
No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

For about 30% of the time today, my attention was very scattered. The lecture played on & I just went through the motion of watching it just because I had to — like an atheist son in a Hindu family at the time of some Puja. He neither understands nor does he have any interest in the alien-sounding words being chanted.
Or maybe, it was just that some of the subject matter was too boring.

This is a productive dictum I learned recently from Joey Schweitzer. It goes like this: "That which costeth energy giveth energy". He says that when you feel tired, do something that needs you to expend some energy like go out for a walk or go for a run or workout. And you'll feel less tired after that. You can also use it as a mid-day reset. It is a very counter-intuitive idea but It seems to be working, at least for now. Maybe, it's just placebo and it is working because I want it to work. Maybe.

Also got this as gift today. I wanted to put everything aside and start reading it. :D
I’m reading this one currently and I love it
What is it about? Seems like a self help book?
Its a novel. About two people who’ve known each other since school and get each other in a gen-z way

That seems interesting. Have been looking for good fiction since a looong time. Will put it on my list, thanks :D
Thats it..
Officially taking a day off.
My right eye pains so much since morning, it seems it will come out of the socket. Nothing studied till now, and don't seem to study anything more either.
Just gonna chill with an ice pack on my eyes today.. Probably going to have some pizza as well.
Although deep down in my mind UPSC is singing, "Bachpan ka pyaar, mujhe bhul nahi jaana rey"..
Hello good people! I've been a silent reader on this thread so far and it's been great to see all of you putting in the work consistently. I'm finally getting back to UPSC now hoping to take a solid shot at CSE 2022. Will start from Monday. I know the thread is for CSE 2021 but I hope you folks won't mind!
Keep up the good work!

Study wise Okay day! Olympics wise bad bad day.
Sindhu's loss was heart-breaking and Tai was great. She had a strategy and she just didn't let Sindhu smash. I was amazed to see how she was dropping all shots near the net and at the same place for 3-4 times. Sindhu was defensive all the time. But a good match.

Today was one of those meh days. Just didn't feel like doing anything. I tried everything to motivate myself but didn't have the energy.
Thinking over it, I realise I need some proper rest (been many days of continuous studies now). So I'll keep tomorrow light and try to refresh my mind.

Had a Pizza, Paneer pakoda and chocolate slurpee today with friends along with time gone in finding and buying new charger of my laptop.
Meanwhile, Forumites after seeing meme in my every schedule -
Good morning lovely people. So August starts from today. This will be very important month. We are so close now. So today there will be no more outings as no other work. Today I will be able to focus fully on my studies.
Today's target:-
- NABARD- ESI Ch. 2-4; Revise June CA; Continue with Quant (Ratio and Proportion)
- PT365 Government Schemes (Complete remaining portion)
- History optional- Revise Post-Mauryan Time period; write few answers from that topic.
- Geography NCERT Class 12th Ch. 3-4
- Newspaper
Keeping it short yesterday helped. Exams coming nearer is helping me gain focus again. I need to develop a proper timetable for next two months. Fix the sources and allot days to them to make sure that I complete everything on time and give at least 2 revisions. Adjusting for NABARD exams is tricky but it must be done. I will try to do that today.
» show previous quotes» show previous quotes» show previous quotes» show previous quotes» show previous quotes» show previous quotesCould only partially finish up the targets. April Monthly was finished but the other two are work in progress. The maths chapter will certainly demand more time.
Studied for around 7 hours. Most of the first half was spent in watching the Olympic Games. PV Sindhu continues to march on, love her perseverance. Hope she does well tomorrow and inspires the rest of Indian contingent (AND ME!) to have the big match spark!
Targets: 9-10 Hours
- Statics & Dynamics PYQs (4/6)
- Finish 2020 Abhyaas Tests Revision (3/3)
- Vision May CA (1/2)
Ah. Yesterday could easily have been a 10 hour day. I messed up the last session because a friend offered to explain a few geography concepts. Once we were done with it, we wasted time talking about college days! I studied around 8 hours. Going to skip mathematics today, because the efficiency has been very low there. Perhaps a break might help me get back in the groove. Also, today I'll be reducing the time spent on study because I might have to head out later.
Targets: 7-8 hours
- Finish 2020 Abhyaas Tests Revision
- Try to finish May 2020 CA
All the best people! Wishing everyone a happy & productive August :D
