Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.
This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.
No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Our mind is so fickle, you give the mind an option to do something other than studying and it takes you to so many different places. Yesterday, the only bread that was got was the one that comes with Alfredo Pasta while watching the match. Congrats everyone, yesterday was exactly the kind of day our sports fraternity needed!
Targets: 9-10 Hours
- Finish 2020 Abhyaas Tests revision
- SFG Revision (Phase 1 & 2) - 4 tests
- Finish May 2020 CA (Try)
- Maths Statics & Dynamics PYQs
Shifting the emphasis to prelims now, will give mathematics minimal time. Yes, that will make the targets go slower but I think now is the right time to prioritise prelims. It is almost here, hope it brings out the best two months in us :)
Disappointing day yesterday. Two bad days on the trot so hopefully today will be good.

Hey everyone,
This is addressing to all the folks who regularly post here, and especially those struggling with consistency, does putting out intended targets for the day/ completed targets help with getting them done because of a sort of accountability to the community?
I read somewhere, when we announce targets in motivation, it gives a pseudo sense of accomplishment leading to not actually getting the task done. Has anyone experienced this?

This works for me. My previous study schedule wasn’t at all working for me. But putting the targets in the morning and night has really helped me take stock of what i actually manage to do as well, plus seeing everyone do stuff also acts as a “kick in the butt” to get going. I really like to quantify things and actually see tangible progress in front of me. But if thats not you, there’s no problem, maybe something else might work for you.
Good morning guys, Targets for 3/8/21
- Geography- mapping and places in news
- Geography current affairs revision
- Themes in Indian history II (FINISH IT)
- Previous year upsc papers
- Culture PT365 (as much as possible)
Good day ahead to everyone :)
Today has been such a Shame :(
Had a perfect start to the day and max productivity till lunch after which I just kind of wasted about 2 hours here and there, which could have been easily spent ..
Did try to buckle after after 8 pm and it was going well for the past one hour, but I am getting severe panic attacks seeing the amount of things I was supposed to do and what I have actuallly managed to do.
Just going to close the books now and will perhaps try to wake up early tomorrow.
Really bad day ..

You read right.. When we "Announce" targets , it gives a pseudo sense of accomplishment. However, it happens only when you just announce your targets and then dont work at all for it.
However, if you announce your targets and actually work on it and then again announce that you have been able to complete them, that is not a pseudo sense of accomplishment. It is a real one.
And it has really worked for me as well.
Even today, I felt like giving up after lunch, but I did try to give in 2-3 hours more , because I remembered a few days ago I had publicly announced of having one of my best study day in years .. And I thought I just can't give up to my mood swings... So in a way it has helped me become accountable and productive at the same time.
Try for yourself, if it helps or not. Either way you will get your answer.
Done for the targets for the day except CSAT but overall day was very productive and slowly getting back into rhythm ( bcz coffee has started to kick in my performance)
