Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.
This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.
No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Could not study much due to the loud " HAPPY TEEZ "music playing in front of my house ,
so just listened to the music and tried some new dance moves in my room while ocassionally staring at Lakshmikant and Spectrum.

Mod his part- 80% done
I.r -done
csat - done (finally some of it )
polity rev- still to do
Did most except for some portions of GS related commitments(owing to the fact that I got up at around 6:30 instead of intended 5:30 and had to chase the targets).Still quite satisfied. Will read the paper now and doze off.
*Also taking a day off to pander to some other commitments. Will update tomorrow night now.
@Newton981 What you said makes a lot of sense.
Shubh Ratri doston!
Hi guys.
Day 16(13th of August)-
6:30-9- Mains Notes
9:30-1:30- GS
1:30-7:30- College
8:30-10:30- CA and Newspapers
10:30-11:30- Make Ignou Notes additions to Mills,Rousseau and Bentham
I have realised that I have to re-arrange my Secure Synopsis notes topic wise, else I will not be able to retain and make nice additions in them for coming months. It is a big task and hopefully I will be done with additions till July 2021 as well proper arrangement of a bulk of notes made from previous attempts by September 15.Hopefully!
Shubh Ratri Doston!
Today was a tough day. Was sleepy throughout and kept losing concentration while studying. Switched a lot of screens following the final word on Messi (don't ask, it couldn't be worse!).
Finished the SFG tests, did a little bit of maths and struggled with finishing the May CA magazine. I could have finished the CA but going to sleep early so that sleep doesn't trouble me tomorrow.
Targets: 9-10 hours
- SFG Tests Revision: Economic Geography (2)
- Finish May 2021 CA
- Vision June 2021 CA (1/3)
- Statics & Dynamics (Finish all PYQs till 2013)
- Bonus: Revise Geography Notes
Yet to cross the 8 hour barrier. Was able to finish SFG tests for the day, May CA magazine and do some mathematics. Also started June CA.
Need to work on doing better in the first and last sessions of the day. Also need to work on maintaining focus within study sessions. Only takes one peek onto a different website and boom, 15 mins gone!
Targets: 9-10 hours
- SFG Tests Revision: Modern History (4)
- Vision June 2021 CA (2/3)
- Statics & Dynamics (Finish all PYQs till 2012)
Today was a day when I did a little bit of everything and yet didn't do a lot of things. The second half of the day was spent in following the Taliban advance into Afghanistan. Makes you realise how lucky you are to have the privilege to sit, study and do whatever you want to. Prayers with our fellow neighbours tonight.
Targets: 9 Hours
- Revise SFG Tests Modern History (4)
- Vision June 2021 CA (3/3)
- Statics & Dynamics (Finish all PYQs till 2010)
Lots of distractions due to some housework also had to order a battery for my Laptop.
New targets -
Complete newspaper backlogs
Economics PYQ thoroughly
Bonus Quest - Start Ancient History (Ncert)
Keeping things very simple today
Newspaper Backlogs still there
Economics PYQ is also not completed fully
Started ancient history - will complete it tomorrow
Had 2-3 hours G-meet session for 2019 and 2020 PYQ - solutions and tricks
Played 1-hour volleyball
Yet to press Nitro-pedal. Hanging in there for now.
@The Force Mean of your marks is still very good.
@LetsGetThisBread You are ticking all the boxes everyday..Cool man!
@Luffy I am also doing as I had made notes of it.

college ?? graduation or post graduation ???
Yesterday was not my day. Even after putting so much efforts for the test I scored very low. I mean I used the same notes and scored better in previous SFGs but this time it’s not working out. So I sat down to introspect and figure out things. I decided to make the schedule little flexible ( reducing the syllabus for the day) and then appearing for the test since HCS is just 30 days away.My performance in tests is only worsening my mental condition and in order to maintain my sanity till prelims I have to be little less harsh on myself. Of course I would be attempting SFG but may not be on the scheduled date or I would attempt another sectional test if I scored in a particular test. It’s not you SFG, it’s me :p ( had to say it 😂 #pastexperiences)Also, my little munchkin will be visiting me today (so excited) therefore I might not be able to study in 2nd half of the day.And thanks to all those who shook me yesterday. It feels good to know that I was missed :)
The first two tests of modern history till now were from the topics that were my strong areas, and by strong I mean , I expect to have 90% accuracy in them, which I could not, hence I got demotivated yesterday and somewhat today as well .. (@Shailputri , this is why I was sulking yesterday, I was dissatisfied with myself).
However, today I have found peace with the fact that I will focus only on my silly mistakes, which were quite few to be honest.. Most of the stuff being asked is new or from areas that we don't really pay attention to.. Its called level 3 for a reason... I just go through them and note it down without putting much pressure on my head..
So, I would say that focus on your stupid mistakes and try to minimize them. That is all in our hands. Random bouncer questions will never be in our hands.. Plus not all questions will be like this in UPSC...
Cheer up !!!

Righto. On the contrary, my silly mistakes have increased. Yesterday and today. Ex- Qn said Ramakrishna Mission and in my mind Bramho Samaj was doing rounds. Similarly yesterday last qn instead of 'Europeans', British was doing rounds. Got both qns wrong. :( I have to get them (my mind) right.
Good morning guys! Targets for 13.8.21 are:
Copy writing
medieval India
test revisions
csat
dec 2020 c/a
ancient india
daily c/a
editorial- ie+ hindu
Thats all guys! Let’s rock and (bread) roll folks!
Which sectional tests are you using for prelims?
I’m doing the forum this time, along with Vajiram. I’ve been doing the Vajiram tests for the past 4 years and they are still tough. Forum isn’t easy either, I like to torture myself.
