CSE 2021: Plan / Strategy / Daily Routine

Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.

This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.

No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Decent first half of day but things slowed down post lunch. We’ve got to pick up pace soon. This bread isn’t going to get made by itself

Quite a bad day tbh. The whole day went in sleeping. Woke up at 10 am and again slept in the afternoon from 2 to 5 pm. Coupled with winter blues today, not even a ray of sunshine and then rain.

Let's get better tomorrow.

Let's get better tomorrow.

Study as much as possible.. Not many days left...

After 16th, I will sleep my heart out...

This is what keeps me going when I feel like sleeping..

Today wasn't a great day.

Usually I take a half day break on Thursday. Didn't do that yesterday so suffered today. Lesson learned - sharpen the saw.

does anyone else feel that with every coaching getting on the current affair classes train, the quality of monthly ca has suffered.

Nonetheless i didnt know you get -7 for overshooting time limit in MGP. Will try to improve on timing but i dont know how i can write fast when i have been slow since childhood. any suggestions other than learning to think fast?

Try changes in the way you write. ( I don't know how you can write fast, I tried but I failed miserable as the handwriting that came was miserable)

For example - Tried and tested ways listed.

1. Many say that use flowcharts and diagrams, so use them but not just for the sake of using rather to accommodate information which you would write in the form of points, it actually saves a lot of time. Use as much as you can, but remember putting substantial amount of information in it, which you would have put in the form of points, don't use them to fill pages because they do take hell lot of space.

2. Try not writing full sentences rather short sentences ( reading your opinionated piece , I believe you can write those sentences and convey the same meaning)  which convey the same meaning with a little large handwriting. This way you will fill the page up too.

3. Sometimes, we tend to really fill pages with information which even isn't asked for. So for the purpose, before attacking a question go for question Interpretation ( DIPIN sir says) - QI - Understand what is being asked, and then answer those parts specifically because you really can't afford time to go  around the topic.

That's all I can think right now.

If you are one who writes using just the wrist, then try to write with full force and movement of your arms.. gives more speed plus relieves the wrist of excessive pain

this is very helpful. I analyzed my copy and noticed that I dont make any diagrams , and use too many words -like 170 for a 150 words question ,and this is happening because i am trying to explain every point instead of moving on. Will try to shorten sentences and incorporate diagrams.
@Caesaryour diagnosis is correct,  i write with my wrist. i will try to move my arms more from now on.
thanks both of u

Balancing gs and optional is getting really difficult, despite completing majority of them before prelims. My optional is taking time.

and i see people here having quite balanced daily targets, makes me wonder where will i land with such slow pace. 😕

Trust me 99.9% people are struggling. Every single day... It's just about being consistent at this point of time...
