Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.

This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.

No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

Exam hoga bhai.. pretty sure about that.. no scope for doubt.. too late for any postponement. Just pray to the Almighty that you and your dear ones stay safe..

Hey people, been reading all your comments, can sense so much of anxiousness, nervousness, excitement along with this whole confusion about whether UPSC will cancel it or not.

My mind reading the above conversations wrt COVID and Mains:
"Mass bunk karne ka koi scope hai kya?" #CollegeDaysAndExams
To add my bit to above concerns,
If UPSC goes zero tolerace way and asks us to bring the unbreathable N95 to be worn for 6 hours (+4 hours at centre) for all the 5 days, it will be very difficult breathing and thinking straight.
Gone are the days when we could snack over few Dairy Milks during the mains. That has been the highlight of my previous mains.

Update on 4/1/2022: 2 days from exam and sitting with a phool :

6 hours N95? I didnt see anyone do that except my doctor when I got COVID and got admitted to hospital. I dont think there will be too many people at the center. 9k across the entire country! reason why they will go ahead with the exam!

There are many people at the centre because there are countable number of centres, unlike Prelims. I am not sure about the hubs like Delhi and Blore but small states like Bihar and Odisha have just 1 school/college each, FOR THE ENTIRE STATE. Everyone from the state flock to that one institution, make staying arrangements, fooding arrangements between the papers. The logistics is not just difficult for the Commission, but also for the aspirants.

Having said that, I am sure exam will happen. अडियल्पन्ति की कोइ सीमा नही ।

Ps. Plz let me know what you will be snacking on between papers, esp those who have travelled alone to a different city for the papers.

@Shailputri Nothing, absolutely nothing, is difficult for the commission. All states offer full support and they give the upsc full support in choosing and holding the exams. No officer below the ranks of deputy secretary are involved in the process. Observers etc are generally paid as well handsomely for the work.

Cook MTR Poha and carry it along in a tiffin + Juice packet for lunch.

Yeah regarding snacking! what do people usually eat? I am carrying a chocolate bar! any suggestions? just in case we go hungry in the middle

Kal india mein nearly 60k cases aaye hai with 534 deaths...upsc ko kuch to sochna chahiye...jaada hi sar chada rakha hai humne upsc ko...jabki sabse jaada opaque organization hai..

Usually main exam is less stressful than preliminary and interviews.. this year it is different.. even CSM 2020 was when cases were decreasing

@Villanelle they create ruckus over shoes in state pcs exams. Even asked people to take them off and paraded them barefoot in haryana pcs. And after all this clownery, we get to hear it was rigged and it's most probably cancelled.
