Hello 2021 aspirants. I thought it would be nice if we can share what we are doing and intend to do with one another here.
This could be a thread for discussing everything prep for 2021.
No one method fits all but to see the plans and progress made by fellow aspirants might help with the finer details of preparation and also keep one on track.

When one faces trauma and loss early in life he mostly try to box up his feeling. He would see world as a very unfair and harsh place and to survive in it one need to be equally tough. Needless to say it is very wrong approach not only for us but also for those who care about us. One way to connect with emotion is to observe the physical sensation associated with the emotion. Say when one is anxious there is some heaviness in chest. Or those butterflies in stomach whenever we see our crush.
Training mind to observe both emotion and associated physical sensation would help us develop greater emotional intelligence.
Day-??

Connecting meditation to religions has much damage to the practice. Though it has increased its acknowledgement among masses but took away the science and rationality related to it. It has become a mindless ritual in which people practice with the hope of some divine intervention. Moreover meditation seems to be in most religion in some way or another.Mala/Japain Buddhism and Hinduism, rosaryin Christianity, misbahin Islam. Similar use of mala is seen in Sikhism and Judaism. The idea is to maintain focus on one thing be it the name of god or verses of religious scriptures. In secular meditation we replace it with focus on breath. After practicing meditation there is a sense of calmness in mind. A extreme religious person might see it as an act of god and follow other mindless rituals as well which might increase superstition.
- 7.20- 11.30- marx, durkheim-done

Gyan- If you are struggling with digital distraction try using app called cold turkey (available on android and windows). I have used it last year and started using it again yesterday. Its so foolproof that I would advise using it carefully as it may lock the device which would be difficult to undo for a non tech person.

I second the recommendation of Cold Turkey. It has been highly effective for me. Especially since I do like 95% of my studying on my laptop.
