Hi,

I have a query not relevant to this thread. I am currently working in a govt office and submitted my resignation on personal grounds yesterday. I don't want to go there during the notice period without obtaining any leave. Will it affect me anyway in the future?

Also do we submit our relief order or experience certificate in case of past employment in government office?

Please this is really important to me. Anyone with experience in this area, please help me out.

Also for those wondering why I am leaving a govt job. They are literally harassing me because I am preparing for civil services, I had no other alternative.

Hi,

I can relate to your situation. Thankfully, my seniors are very supportive. 

As it's a govt organization, I would strongly suggest to deal things in good faith. If they are already harrasing you, then can also chose to not accept your resignation and enforce the notice period. Despite the egos, my humble and strong advice would be don't take panga. Would also suggest to re-consider resigning. With the unpredictable nature of the CSE, the fact that you have a good job definitely soothes your nerves. 

1. Withdraw your resignation if you can. 

2. If sure to resign, complete the required formalities in good faith.

I am in Private job, on front-line Covid duty. 

Not getting any time to study at all. Can't leave job due to personal/financial reasons.

It's my 3rd Mains but 1st with PSIR optional. Missed last interview call by just few marks.


Job is hectic. Boss is shitty. Workplace hazardous. Time is ticking fast. Only 70 odd days to go. I read the new optional 50-60% way back in Feb and now everything is appearing Greek to me when I am re-reading it.


Seem trapped.

I would suggest you to please withdraw ur resignation and take following steps:-
1) Dont go to ur office for next 3-6 months-make medical and do whatever u can...dey can't dismiss u as u are an govt servant.
2) Being in job and getting totureed from the life u have... it seems that UPSC toh aaram se ho jaayega..But believe me it doesn't happen(you have the liberty to think that this statement belongs to those who are failures but It does happen)
3) When u will clear UPSC dey wont have the courage to stop you from giving relieving (may be they would charge you with notice money plus interest at market rate) so dont worry what will happen after the result- Nothing will happen
4) All the coaching waala ppl will say that UPSC is cup of tea since u hv cleared SSC/Banking but bhai aisa bilkul nahi hai--In recent years especially from 2018 prelims has become almost luck based... and the higher the step(Mains/interview)-Higher is the subjectivity.
5) If you are in age of 21-23- I would suggest leave ur job and give 2-3 attempts at UPSC. If u clear-good for you else give RBI/SEBI/NABARD/EPFO. And agar jawaani bachi toh phirse 1-2 attempt at upsc
