The Environment Protection Act, 1986 empowers the Government of India to

  1. state the requirement of public participation in the process of environmental protection, and the procedure and manner in which it is sought
  2. lay down the standards for emission or discharge of environmental pollutants from various sources

Official answer key says answer is 2 only. Isn't public participation a part of EPA?

EPA doesn't contain this provision specifically afaik.

That's what everyone says after the answer key comes out πŸ˜‚.  I think questions like these can't be answered even if you have the whole act in front of you.

You don't even learn after the exam, in this exam where you get the answer key 18 months after the exam :p

In India, deficit financing is used for raising resources for

(a) economic development

(b) redemption of public debt

(c) adjusting the balance of payments

(d) reducing the foreign debt

Explain answer.

B a/c to me is more appropriate as deficit financing May not lead to dev.

@Shailputri definitely a...the aim is economiv dev, it may happen or not is totally different debate. secondly, borrowing money to repay loans cant be a sustainable long term aim.

Oh that way. Haathi ke daant type. Borrowing in the name of development but ultimately leading to redemption of debt.

Clever options tho.

How many of you were able to solve these ques without knowing the answer?

This question was solved in a very easy manner by this youtube. I feel bad for not having it thought that way. There are many more questions like these.

So...does anyone else find revising Laxmikanth to be faster by starting at the end of the chapter or is this a symptom of madness?

Ancient, Medieval, Art and Culture - these questions are generally etymology based.

If we don’t fear seeing the topic and are able to calm our nerves, then most likely chances are, it will strike us to the relevant theme/essence.

And speaker's oath?

@kasanasandy007133 One correction. It's protem speaker who administer oath to winner candidates and only after that they can take part in proceedings of parliament.
Edit : there's no seperate oath for speaker, as s/he already have subscribed to oath as a member of the house.

@sstarrr There is no provision of oath for speaker.

@Conquer bhai in technical sense
As per constitution, President or a person nominated by him administers oath to MP.
Based on this provision, president conventionally administers oath to protem speaker and to the remaining members it is administered by the protem speaker.

@Jammu  and@Hououin_Kyouma , these type of questions can be a deal breaker though. 2-3 questions means 6 marks. The thing is, how to develop such aptitude? Is it all related to calming our nerves or is there something more?
