Hi! Is anyone here with law optional?
@Agog are you preparing for upsc or judiciary?
@kabirpanthi I spoke to a successful candidate and I was told that he solely relied on Nirvana notes. In fact if you see strategy shared by Shubham Gupta sir, he also heavily relied on Nirvana notes.
@kabirpanthi Please let me know if you have these notes and willing to share. I tried contacting the photocopy shops in ORN but no one has Nirvana notes
I love the law, but seeing the questions and given the fact that the answers are written in 150-300 words, I think investing heavily in fat books are a waste. Dukkis are up to date, and they do the trick. If one can supplement answers with current events, I think Dukkis alone can do the trick. If one has conceptual clarity, the questions aren't that difficult.
@Patootie Yes, agree but there are certain points which are missed out in Dukkis. Coaching notes are handy and can be helpful at times. We shouldn't rely on them solely.
@Agog Focus on one exam! Judiciary has procedural laws as well. Work wisely.
@kabirpanthi I have referred to Nirvana notes for IPC and IL. They are good. A cursory reading of standard book can be done to include points missing the notes.
@newintherace Amazon and Pankaj copiers have listed Nirvana notes. Don't know about the authenticity of these notes since I haven't ordered from there. Just came across them while searching for something.
@Joeyisthebest Hi! From where did you find them? One of my friends had ordered from Amazon and found them to be fake. I contacted a photo copy shop yesterday, their one employee said that they have 2016 Nirvana notes and the other employee said 2015. So I doubt if they have them.
@newintherace I got it from a senior. It is very unlikely that you will find latest notes of Nirvana anywhere but the basics remain the same in optional paper.
@Nike Don't know about other topics, but the origin of IL page given on Pankaj copiers is definitely from Nirvana notes. I did this from those notes only.
@Joeyisthebest ya right. Would you mind sharing pictures of few pages of the notes which you have so that I can match with the ones which I am getting at photocopy shops?
@Joeyisthebest what I have noticed in the notes of Pankaj copiers is that the international law notes have the Nirvana ias watermark on the top whereas the other notes don't have it.
@newintherace The notes of international law listed on Pankaj Copiers might be Nirvana. But the page on breach of contract is from the Rau's IAS Law notes. Rest the index pages too are from Rau's. I am posting the image from my copy.
Unlike Nirvana, Rau notes don't have a watermark.
@newintherace I have only IPC and IL notes of Nirvana. IPC ones are handwritten. If you need pictures, I will send them by tonight.
@Joeyisthebest please do! That would be a great help!
