2016 se shuru hua hai ye sbh, when cutoff jumped 99 marks, it cannot be possible without updation of marking style !
and everything is relative, and inter years marks cannot be compared , if one want to compare 2013/14 with 2018/19 , first the 'inflation' adjustment is required!

@BehemothWith essay along predictable lines (add 15 marks), and this year's gs2 becoming last year's gs1 (in unpredictability, no impact), cutoff should cross 790.
Of course if optionals surprise it may fall.

@dancingminion10-20 marks less is a probability....UPSC is literally breaking all the myths of markets...good for the newbies coming for prep.

@Vikacrosssing 790 seems lil bit unrealistic but lets see.....unpredictable gs 2 and gs 3 and even some questions of gs 1 will offset essay effect.

But, I think last year cutoff fell because many good aspirants who had earlier scored 130-40 in essay, got 90 or less. And only 40% UR seats this time.

I started with the definition, aur phir positive diye and then conclude kar diya. I guess ye generic hi hain

@dancingminionIt is quite used in western India, around Aravali capturing the rainwater in underground tankas and bawdies (via check dam, anicut, very popular in this area) and people are developing horticultural in the area (onions and lady finger, tomato, brinjal is mostly sown) along with animal rearing- Saras dairy is the example like Amul in Gujarat . We often see mob lynching case in this animal rearing area also. Indira Gandhi canal is the reason also on western most side. Now food processing is also developing Bikaner wala, Jodhpur sweet home, Jayanti in eastern Rajasthan (also uptakes plant food for processing) on basis of animal food processing. I guess localising the knowledge being aware of surroundings might help to write something at least.

@STDon't worry. All are tired. It is not very easy to get back straight to studies after 3 gruelling days of torturing your body and mind. I am trying to sit and focus but I end up either sleeping or whiling away time on the internet. Just revise whatever you can with ease.

I think it is not wise to over exhaust yourself to the point where you are unable to perform on 29th. These 5 days will have an impact, definitely but it will be limited.
